Allara read me the wrong blood test results. Told me I had health conditions that I don’t. I’m the one who caught the error. This is a huge HiPAA violation among other things. And to top it all off — they are refusing to refund me. Horrible service.
You may see that Allara is blaming the lab — a lab I never went to. Their relationship and protocols are to blame. They’ve offered me a “free follow up visit” but are not compensating me for the visit I paid for where I listened to someone else’s results, or the associated pain/suffering.

We are so sorry to hear this! We verified this incident was a lab center error and our team has sent you a message in the patient portal regarding next steps.

Allara took my money without consent TWICE
I commented on an instagram post and was blocked. Allara will charge you for your visit without notifying you and will take your money without any notice. They will allow you to do your medical visits, saying your insurance was accepted, and then they will send you a bill and auto charge you in 3 days, even if you contact them to set up a payment plan. Be aware that once they have your credit card information they will use it without your consent. This is the second time I have been charged out of the blue and now have to file disputes against Allara health. Would not recommend using at all. Seek a private doctor instead.

Scam
Scam, I recommend just go to a regular doctor. It's disgusting they charge such a staggeringly high monthly cost for no additional benefits on top of appointment costs. Despicable business model, preying on young women with health issues.

Told me I was in network and then the next day after my appointment said I need to pay out of pocket. Will never go back and don’t recommend! Horrible business model with 0 integrity.

UNETHICAL PRACTICES
UNETHICAL PRACTICES. A customer representative told me services would be covered by my insurance. I had a consultation and was just about to get all the ordered lab work done when I received a bill for $125. Despite showing the company screenshots of the conversation with the employee they did me the "favor" of reducing it to $50 and charged my card without my consent. They are lying thieves. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS.

This company exploits the vulnerable. Don’t fall for it!
This company misleads individuals through their misrepresentative, nontransparent, and unsupportive healthcare services. This is seen throughout the customer services teams, healthcare services and even faulty technology. Exploiting vulnerable populations of [primarily] women who have been historically denied even decent healthcare through this marketing money scheme is beyond shameful behavior.
I was originally told that the charges for my incredibly short, unhelpful and downright disappointing initial virtual visit would not exceed my predicted copay of $40; this was the only reason I even decided to take a chance on such a risky online service.
I contested the unapproved charge of $150 and was told to talk to my insurance company. Well, I did. Allara healthcare services are not seen as "medically necessary” nor preventive care; thus, they are not covered and a copay would never have been possible. Again, I was told the opposite of this by Allara customer services.
Further, to get insurance approval for many medications, providers must supply evidence of the medication’s need. This was never provided through Allara; my insurance company confirmed this. Funnily enough, I recently went to see my primary care doctor who was able to get this same medication for the same reason prescribed approved and in my hands within days.
After the charge, I spent many months (!) going back and forth with customer service. During this time, my messages would disappear (due to a software/platform glitch supposedly); this was beyond disruptive in communication practices. I’ve got screenshots that show these ‘tech glitches.
I was also given conflicting information multiple times when dealing with customer service. My Allara provider spent little time with me before providing overly aggresive and medically unsound advice which my primary care doctor swiftly refuted. And, again, there was zero follow-up nor patient support despite what I was told.
I’m so sick of this company, and I am beyond annoyed. They are emblematic of vampiric, exploitative corporations that seek out vulnerable populations of those underserved (women especially) and flout provision of attentive, caring and innovative healthcare while providing the same old expensive, manipulative trash services at a top fee. No care. No listening. No follow through. No innovation.
They are a scam. Go to a real medical provider.
PS: It ain’t Allara.

Unprofessional Provider and Frustrating Cancellation Process
My experience with Allara was extremely disappointing. Dr. Amanda Wirth showed up to my appointments lying in bed and looked completely unprofessional. She did not present herself like a doctor at all, which made the entire experience uncomfortable and hard to take seriously.
On top of that, she did not properly review my labs or address my concerns in any meaningful way. After everything, the only thing she prescribed was Omega-3, which felt dismissive and completely inadequate given why I was seeking care in the first place.
What made this even worse is that it is almost impossible to get in contact with the company when you need help, especially if you are trying to cancel your subscription. That level of poor communication and lack of support is unacceptable.
Overall, this was a frustrating and unprofessional experience, and I would not recommend this service.
