I read the reviews before signing up for Allara and was concerned about possibly not being able to see an endocrinologist. Great news - I did see an endocrinologist. Bad news - I had no idea there was a policy that I could only schedule visits with one provider or the other. So the provider who ordered very thorough labs and referred to endocrinologist actually specializes in women’s health specialist. But I can’t follow up with her about my lab results because I saw an endocrinologist about something else. I’m grateful for the care but I could have literally just paid to have those labs done myself for less if I didn’t want the medical professional who decided which labs to order to interpret them.

Deceptive costs. Allara charges your insurance, which if you're insurance isn't covered then you'll front the cost. Their monthly membership is 119 which includes the health and dietitian, but I ended up with an invoice for $50, then 2 more of $139 in a span of 1 month. Allara should do better about display outright costs, and also reduce costs to their self pay model if it exceeds it. If you do use allara, make sure your insurance has full coverage and double check the cost. Additionally their customer support is quite slow, it takes 24-72 hours for a response sometimes and it goes through multiple times just to reach your healthcare provider. Additionally, they did try to get me a PA but unfortunately it was denied and no communications were provided. The communication outside of the actual meetings is very lackluster. Also their mobile app is so bad. It constantly required authentication and it's not user-friendly to keep track of your habits. I'm having a much better experience with Noom Med so far with just using the app and renewing my prescriptions with them. There is less of a human touch element but I'd say I prefer it. I'll have to say the only positives that I came out of this with is that medication has been working for me and the advice provided by the dietitians have been helpful so far, and the blood work (Labcorp) I found was extremely helpful. The healthcare members and dietitians are very nice, but overall I would not recommend allara.

Allara's doctor is fantastic. But the billing department is sketchy. Without my permission, they used my checking debit card, after I used it to pay my first bill. I did not authorize this card. So this was completely illegal. I had authorized my credit card as back-up to my health insurance. Be very wary of their billing department. Someday, I suspect they'll be in some class action lawsuit for this behavior.

Well the povider was great, BUT THEN, they attempted to send my endo referral over to another provider and afer a week I caled Allara back and they said "oh they tried to send it but apparently the fax failed to send", so that took a week, and then I called the endo office and Allara never attached the labs with the referral they were supposed to send... NOT GOOD Not good at all..... So I had to print out the labs and drive them to the endo office.... very unsatisfied and and there is no phone number to get in touch with ALLARA health.... not helpful

There was no feedback on insurance coverage. It turns out my insurance does not cover nutrition consultations at all, so I am being billed the full cost of this. Which is not something I was prepared to do at all.

I cancelled my membership and started over with in person providers. I was not getting the same connection virtually that I need for very important and vulnerable medical decisions.

Meh. Feels like the visit with the doctor was superficial. She turned up 8 minutes late without an apology. I feel beyond an initial set of testing, nothing is done to address some of the symptoms i wanted to address. No reason or rational given why i might be feelinG this way. The dietician was more caring and making an effort, otherwise i would have given it one star. Still feels like a waste of money
