They charge you up front hundreds of dollars and continue to bill you and your insurance even when services aren't provided. Can't call them either. Very scary.

Same cookie cutter care. Waste of time.
Waste of time. Provider tried to tell me she knew something more than a world renowned endometriosis specialist and that I wasn’t ruled out for estrogen and progesterone HRT. My lived experience in my body says I am.
They don’t prescribe testosterone for peri/menopause.
If they try to bill me, they can deal with a chargeback from AMEX.

I would give 5 stars to the doctor that…
I would give 5 stars to the doctor that was assigned to me. I was extremely hopeful and relieved to finally be seen. However, I was told that my insurance "covered" the visits, committed to 2 visits and was waiting on a nutritionist - when i was advised that my insurance did NOT in fact cover the cost - $120 PER visit (virtual, not in person) - and they auto drafted from my card. I feel a baited, then switched. Super disappointed.

Not happy!!
I had a Tele a health visit in 8/6 at 845 am. Doc was so nice and let me explain my concerns and what I was looking for. She then tells me to send my most recent labs (12/24) she will order labs based off what she sees and figure out what else if any other labs need to be done. She also informed me to fast before labs and do labs on day 2-5 of my menstrual cycle. I sent labs right away and I as of today still haven’t received lab work. I am having to keep writing messages since my visit. Then I get a response today telling me the doc I saw will be out until September?!! What!!!! She asked me if I wanted to schedule with another provider. Why would I do that after giving all my information to this provider. Like seriously?! So unprofessional!!
1. Why wasn’t something said and 2. I am getting ready to start my cycle and I need labs ASAP! Now I have to wait another month before I can see the same doc and still have no labs done and also having to wait again for my cycle. I am so upset!!! So my insurance is being billed for what?!?!

Negligent Patient Care
I had a deeply upsetting and frankly negligent experience at this practice, specifically under Dr. Nicole Williams' care.
I explicitly asked the provider not to prescribe or start me on birth control until my blood work had been reviewed. Despite that clear request, she told me to go ahead and start the pill before reviewing any of my lab results.
My blood work later confirmed that I was already pregnant at the time. Had I followed her instructions, I could have unknowingly put my pregnancy and health at serious risk by taking hormonal medication I should never have been prescribed.
This was a reckless and avoidable mistake that shows a disturbing lack of attention to patient safety and communication. Ignoring a direct patient request and proceeding without reviewing critical test results is unacceptable in any medical setting.
I strongly urge this practice to take responsibility and review their protocols immediately. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend them to anyone seeking safe, attentive, and responsible care.

Inept Customer Care Team
I turned to Allara Health after being continually dismissed by other providers about my perimenopause symptoms 33 years old. I was excited and hopeful because I was starting to lose faith in getting real help. My doctor at Allara was great and took my concerns seriously, ordering labs that indicated I need an MRI for further testing.
Unfortunately, the experience fell apart after that. The customer service team has been a complete disaster. I've been waiting weeks for a prior authorization and referral to be submitted. Despite weekly follow-ups on my end and confirmation from my insurance that nothing has been received, I'm still stuck. Allara admitted there was a miscommunication and said they were now waiting on their Prior Authorization team, but nothing has changed since then.
I've made it clear that my symptoms are severely affecting my quality of life and ability to work, but there’s been zero urgency or empathy. I deeply regret trusting this platform. Don’t waste your time like I did.

User beware
I would agree with many reviews that the providers on Allara are kind, caring and knowledgeable. However, I currently have an issue with my prescription and have not been able to resolve the issue with Allara. I warn anyone who is using insurance to pay for their prescriptions to think twice about using a service where you cannot get directly in touch with your provider to request support. Their “concierge” service has continued to lag in responding to concerns.

We are so sorry to hear this! Thank you for sharing your feedback as this is certainly not the experience we strive to provide. Our team is investigating your prescription delay and will be in touch with next steps later today in the patient portal.

Disappointed and Misled by Allara's Promises
I chose Allara because their mission to revolutionize women’s healthcare strongly resonated with me. Unfortunately, the care I received did not reflect that mission.
The provider I saw barely greeted me, spent most of the appointment focused on her computer, and showed little interest in understanding my health history or concerns. It felt impersonal and dismissive—no different (and in some ways worse) than traditional care models I was hoping to avoid.
To make matters worse, I received a $120 charge without any advance notice. I had understood that I would only owe a specialist copay through my insurance. While I accept that I could have reviewed my coverage more thoroughly, I also believe that cost transparency is a key part of building patient trust—and Allara fell short.
I did contact Allara to express my concerns. After a few weeks, they offered a free visit with another provider. While I appreciate the gesture, I chose not to return, as the experience had already eroded my trust in their care model.
Based on my experience, I would not recommend Allara and will be advising others to explore other options. Their mission sounds empowering, but in practice, my experience was impersonal, poorly communicated, and disappointing.
