Aliving HomeReviews of alivinghome.com

I was really nervous purchasing a couch online and I am sure glad that I went for it because it was the best investment! The leather is gorgeous, all parts arrived, super easy to put together and the color is beautiful! Do not hesitate. This company was amazing!

I am not sure of what type of body this is made for, the back of the chair is very long and the foot rest is very short. I like the color, fabric and fast delivery, but definitely not the chair. Very uncomfortable. The upright position is reclined and the headrest juts forward, leaving you in a very awkward and uncomfortable position. Was this chair made just for looks in a magazine. Very disappointed in the design. It won’t last long in my house.

For my fellow heavy people: This is the worst sofa I have ever owned. Purchased the CloudCubo 3 seat recliner. The max weight per seat is 400lbs. I am 350lbs. It should have been ok. But it's super painful. Intolerably painful. I regret this purchase with my entire soul. The seats are narrow, but I do fit. The reason I mention them being narrow is because there is a wooden support beam on the right side of the seats and if you sit on the thin cushion for an entire movie (appx 1.5hrs+) you *will* feel it. That beam causes unbearable pain in my hip joint if I sit for more than a few minutes. It is not relaxing. Reclining does not help. There is also an immense amount of pressure on my undercarriage in addition to the beam. I don't know how the springs are arranged to cause this upward pressure under me. It's bad. Really bad. I have done everything to try to mitigate this. New foam. Thicker, harder foam. Wooden slat support system seems to be the best solution, but isn't comfortable at all. Also, the back cushion is just feathers, there's no support on your back at all. We have both had to add extra back support pillows in the first week. We tested the sofa when it arrived and out of the box it seemed nice. Certainly seemed better than what we had. So we chucked the packing materials. Within that first week I started having problems. It's like buying new shoes when your old shoes are garbage: anything feels better - at first. Also, right out of the box this thing smells. Bad. The off-gassing is intense. Open all the windows in your house and turn on every fan you have because it will give you a headache from the chemicals. That chemical odor lingered still lingers a month and a half later. It's horrible. A minor complaint is that one of the seat's double USB outlets stopped working completely in the second week. It's a great idea, the reclining functioning and motors are great, seems like a nice enough company, easy to order, and delivery wasn't too bad. I like the modular construction. Easy to put together, easy to take apart and throw away! Even if we kept the packaging, returning this would have been a major pain in the rear - just like sitting on this thing!

I gave it 3 stars because it was just a color swatch, to check to see if I liked the color. I liked it, but when I went to order the furniture you didn't have any pieces in stock the color I wanted. So I found another set from another company for my home.

Very comfortable and good looking

After leaving a review on trust pilot, the customer service representative reached out to me about making amends. I followed their directions by emailing them. I have yet to hear back.

The table was exactly as described. It was very easy to assemble, and looks great.

Ordered a recliner tried to cancel within 6 minutes of placing order because of wrong color. Called customer service to cancel order, they were obviously a 3rd party with no access to on line orders. Aliving sent 1 of 2 boxes saying they were able to stop 1 box. I refused shipment of the 1 box (1/2 a recliner) as instructed by Aliving and yet they charged me a 10% restocking fee! Now they have lost my business, was going to reorder the correct color. Extremely Poor Customer Service
