I really enjoyed the itinerary. The camps were wonderful and so was the hotel in Vitoria Falls. I do feel the cost was extreme compared to other tours in the area I have been on. Providing us with a duffel bag was a good idea for then we had one that was acceptable.

I took a personal trip to China. They arranged everything. I was met at the airport by my guide and driver. I did and saw everything I had asked for; including arranging a tea at my hotel (which I hosted for Chinese, English teachers).. The hotel chosen was upscale and very pleasant, as a woman traveling alone I felt safe there. The only thing that wasn't perfect was that the meals were pre-ordered at the restaurants and homes I ate at. My food allergies and tastes and preferences were not taken into account.

It was a wonderful trip except for the start. The itinerary showed an early morning start which caused us to arrive a day early and book an extra night at the hotel. When we arrived, the tour actually started in the afternoon and the extra night was not needed. Our guide did a great job of introducing us to Moroccan culture. The night in the desert and camel ride was a fabulous experience. The food was inconsistent, sometimes outstanding and sometimes average, We sometimes spent too much time in the restaurant. Rick’s cafe in Casablanca was great. The riads were beautiful any only one hotel was poor.

We used A+R when it was still called General Tours & had extraordinary personalized service & amazing experiences. A+R is still OK, but our most recent experiences with A+R were merely satisfactory. A+R is services were much less personalized than GT, and it provided much less attention to detail. While we will probably still use A+R but will continue to look for alternatives. We loved GT & are disappointed in the changes with A+R.
