I bought the Kova sectional from this company a few years ago. This was such a negative experience that it stuck with me and prompted me to write this review years later. Firstly, my couch arrived months late. When it finally arrived, I immediately realized it did not at all meet its descriptions of comfort or quality. Within one week of receiving it, I wrote in asking to return it. I was told I could not return because it was past the return window… because THEY were late delivering it to me. I explained that, and they did not care. I sold it the next year on Facebook Marketplace for a 2,000 loss and purchased a joybird sofa instead. Please avoid this company.

Their policies are terrible. I put an order in on the Kova L-Shaped sectional given all of the articles and good reviews on their website. I definitely should have done more research on other websites like this one that point out the low quality couches, terrible policies and overall unhelpful customer service. Seems like they work hard to hide any bad reviews and potentially pay websites to put their couch on lists. I placed an order on April 2, 2024 and decided to cancel on April 9, 2024 after receiving emails from them that implicitly contradicted what was written when I was buying the couch. As other reviews have pointed out, they use language like “typically” to get around things and email you after the purchase including information that wasn’t very clear from their FAQs section. As our estimated shipping date approached I had a bad gut feeling about the couch, and after seeing reviews about how uncomfortable and low quality it is I decided to cancel it, albeit outside the 24 hour window to change/alter the order. Turns out I have to pay a $200 “restocking” fee for something that never left a warehouse. The customer service was unhelpful in the sense that they can’t really do anything to help and quite frankly I feel bad for the people who have to explain such crappy policies to frustrated customers. Regardless, I’m glad we cancelled before the couch even shipped because it seems like it is much more of a hassle to return it after it arrives.

TL:DR If you are still on the fence, just read the "shipping and delivery" section on Albany Park website. Nothing that is stated in the FAQ's is finite. ALL of the FAQ's. They frequently use the word "estimate" to save themselves from any legal ramifications. The website states "Transit time is TYPICALLY 5–13 days, excluding weekends." Which is a lie. The biggest take away is the word "typically" here. Because the moment your order doesn't arrive, Albany Park will state that it's actually "7-14... TYPICALLY." They never speak in certainties because all they care about at the end of the day is getting your money. NOT getting you your furniture/order. My experience: If giving no stars was an option, that’s where I would start. Ordered a Kova Pit Sectional that never arrived. $3700 that I am now having to dispute and fight over. If this company is not a scam, it’s as close as it gets. They will try to place blame on everyone but themselves. Customer service is abysmal. Over the past couple weeks, I have had countless phone conversations with managers from Albany Park “ensuring” they will get my order to me on time and to “trust them at their word.” These people will lie through their teeth to get your money. Don’t waste your time or your energy. “Trusting” Albany Park to deliver was easily one of the biggest mistakes I’ve made recently. I ordered my couch Feb 27th. It’s now April 3rd and still no couch or delivery date. Albany Park still doesn't speak in certainties to help me resolve the issue and regularly asks me to just "trust" them. STAY AWAY

I have been ordering one of their popular colors Gray Fabric, made sure before I started buying the kova fabric gray that they weren't planning on changing the fabric so I could order in pieces. I ordered the armed piece first then the ottoman and this time around I decided to buy the armless piece and start building from there. WELL, first it took a month to get the armless piece then when I opened the box the color and material doesn't match with the other 2 pieces I have already, when I contacted them they said that since I used a different email from the other two pieces that they didn't contact me to let me know they no longer have the same color and that they changed the look of the color a while back. BUT if I want to wait 4 - 6 months for the armless piece they would magically make it out of the color they no longer have. Don't waste your money or the headache of dealing with them.

Terrible experience. They sofa I ordered arrived soaked and dirty. I've been trying to return it for DAYS but they're trying to force me into keeping the sofa by sending replacement parts, but I've expressed several times that I want to return the sofa and get a refund. Now they're trying to CHARGE ME for returning the sofa. Is this even legal?! BUYER BEWARE! Do not order from Albany Park.

I would give minus stars if I could! Do not believe the refer and earn promotion. It is a total SCAM! I ordered a chair for my daughter using the referral link. Here we are five months later and multiple emails, and she is still waiting for her $75. They have now said there was no evidence of using the referral link. After a complete runaround now the SCAM is revealed. Horrendous customer service, fraudulent marketing tactics, and blatant lies. This is what you get when you order furniture from Albany Park.

The Kova Sofa from Albany Park couch is the HUGEST WASTE OF MONEY. It offers ZERO support. I bought this couch last September and every day I sit on it, I deeply regret that decision. Everyone that sits on it hates it because there is minimal padding. It’s like they filled it 30% instead of the full 100%. I constantly have back problems because of the lack of padding and lumbar support. I left a 1-star review on their website and it never showed up. They are misleading consumers who are hoping for a couch that looks exactly like the pictures do. Instead I got a modular couch (yay) that is like sitting on top of a flat pillow (ugh). The back cushions constantly fold in and I feel like I’m always caving in with it. The only way to get support is to completely lay down it. After contacting their customer support, I was told to, “allow time for the cushions to fluff” and they never did! They told me that I should not put more cushion or padding in the seat because it would ruin the fabric. I despise this couch and wish I would have tried before I purchased. Which I know they say you can do that but these seats are enormous. They showed up in 4 huge boxes that took 2 men to bring each one up to my apartment. Not real easy to return. Never again! Spend your money elsewhere!

I placed order # AP_117191 in November 2023. Included two armchairs and ottomans from the Park line. Totaled $2,600.00. When the furniture arrived there were clear severe packaging issues. The box which housed the furniture legs were packaged on top of the cushions vs. placed securely inside the compartment located underneath the piece of furniture. When the box(es) arrived you could see the top protruding approximately 3-6 inches making the shipment larger than the container/box. I contacted customer service and they stated that the indentations would come out with water as the material was velvet. I assembled the furniture and have since used it for less than 60 days. The quality is HORRIBLE. The armchair cushions are flattened from 4 inches to about 1 inch (or less) after sitting in the seat within 15 minutes. While sitting you lean forward due to the cushion being thinner at the front of the armchair vs. the middle or back. Furthermore when sitting the armchair sits lower than the ottoman (matching piece) by about 1-2 inches. I have since contacted customer care again and shared photos. I have been told that the furniture is allowing flexing of the material to avoid tears. That I should "give the inserts a good fluff". Both times I've reached out to their customer care, they have avoided the issues and simplified the fix. The furniture is simply uncomfortable and performs as if it's been used for years - the cushions sag heavily. I've looked at purchasing foam inserts for the seats to try and solve the issues but when I look at the price, it simply should not be necessary. I am not happy with this company at all. Awful quality! I have communicated with a Jessa Cayetuna (quality issue) and a Michelle Macalinao (packaging issue). It's unethical and I have requested my money back. They claim that there is no manufacturer's defect but will provide a partial refund of $100 on a $2,452.05 order. Unethical, unprofessional. This is awful furniture priced at high quality dollars.
