June 2018 was our third trip to Alaska planned with Explore Tours. Each time we found the staff to be knowledgeable, professional, flexible, and timely. Our first two trips were exactly what we wanted and went without a hitch. Our third trip was also exactly what we wanted however we had a hitch on the first leg of our adventure, a hitch which was promptly solved by the Explore Tour staff. Specifically, when we arrive in Anchorage, we discovered our flight to Valdez was cancelled due to weather. We called Explore Tours and told them the situation. They told us they would call back within 15 minutes. They did call back within 15 minutes after they had made an Anchorage hotel reservation for us for the night, canceled our first night's hotel reservation in Valdez and confirmed the 2nd and 3rd nights' stay, and changed our glacier cruise reservation to a day later. They gave us all of this information via telephone and followed up with an email. We were impressed with their prompt, thorough, friendly and professional response. We will return to Alaska again and when we decide to do so, we will use Explore Tours. We recommend them highly.

Thank you for the great review, Janice, and for taking the time to share your experience with other readers. You did have an authentic Alaska experience, in that Mother Nature certainly influences what happens around here. We’re glad that we could be your local resource for some quick problem solving and support to keep the vacation rolling. You took time to visit some fantastic destinations in Alaska, many of which are off the beaten path and off the road system for that matter. A true Alaska adventure most certainly! Also, thank you for taking the time to call and share some of your highlights, feedback, and suggestions after your travels. It’s that kind of collaboration that helps ensure that travel experiences only continue to improve. Happy travels, wherever exploring takes you next!

It’s always a pleasure to work with you on your Alaska adventures, Dowe. This year’s adventure to Southeast Alaska certainly provided you with a little extra Alaska authenticity. We hope that exploring some of our most scenic coastal communities left you with another set of fond Alaska memories. Thank you for your continued support and return business. Cheers to the next expedition!

We had several requests and changes to initial itinerary that were handled very well. Also additional changes requested by either Vendor or Explore tours which were unexpected, even up to a week from start of tour still went well. Everything worked like clockwork once there. All of the staff transfer's were very professional. We only had to change one reservation...the flight to Denali with a glacier landing. Our train earlier that day had an electrical fire with a 1 1/2 hour delay...lucky for us....as it was cloudy. We had to reschedule our flight for the next day. Our pilot joked about the two tiny puffy clouds in the sky that day and wore a short sleeve t-shirt at the top of the glacier landing we did on Ruth Glacier. We feel so blessed to have had excellent weather our whole trip. So for our trip to Denali we had 3 out of 3 days of sunshine and we could see the mountain!!! Thanks Explore Tours

Wow! Carol, what great feedback and insight into your travel experience. Thank you for taking the time to share with us, it means a lot to our whole team. It sounds like you had a true Alaska adventure with a couple unexpected moments in the journey. Three days of sunshine in Denali with mountain vistas?! That’s a tough one to beat. The question here in the office remains, did you see enough puffins during your visit?? We know that was a big check box on the Alaska To Do List. Thank you for choosing Alaska as your destination and Explore Tours as your local expert. We feel quite lucky to have been a part of your Alaska adventure.
