Initial liaison with Explore Tours was perfect. The girls understood our needs & took our ideas into consideration AND planned a wonderful tour for us. Basically we wanted accommodation & car rental; we would plan our own excursions. Doing the self-drive though the tour agency presented more leverage with both aspects & we paced ourselves on well-researched excursions. Communication detail was brilliant. Our accommodation was exceptional & car hire went without a hitch. We were particularly enamoured with Denali Grizzly Bear Resort & the Knik River Lodge. Knik River is a delightful, out-of-way area. Alaska is a picture-perfect place & our trip will remain etched in our memories forever. I have already espoused the virtues of Explore Tours to friends & family here in Australia.

The tour needs to give more info about environment , people & culture of Nome and much less personal life story of the driver/guide. It was more an "ego trip" for the mayor and not really a "tour of Nome".

Difficulty picking up rental car because it was not shown on invoice that the vehicle had been paid for. Accommodations and all excursions were to our satisfaction. Dining and extra excursion recommendations were on point.

Every tour excursion guide did a great job and was very knowledgeable.

The Explore Tour staff worked with me from start to finish. Our Alaska tour was amazing. Thanks for all the help!
