Ease of process

I dislike the fact that when trying to get answers there is either no one to speak with or no response to an email!

Time for renewal I send in self survey with 10 pictures. I get an email saying they received it and would be in touch. A month later I get email notice of non renewal since I did not send in the self survey. I tried multiple times a day for several days to call. Its useless. I send in detailed email with the previously sent survey and pics. They got it but wanted more pics and proof of an automatic bilge switch that my boat has never had for the prior 2 years they have insured it. I finally get through on the phone to an Arabic guy that told me he did not even know what that was and to just tell them in an email that my boat doesn't have this. Sounds easy. I resend the same pictures from the previous 2 times. They accept the pictures but still want an auto bilge switch. After having this much trouble getting in touch with someone and the hassle involved in renewal of an existing policy, I told them to not worry about it. I'm out. Progressive is only $54 more for a year than Ahoy was last year. Its worth $54 to me to not have to install a switch in a boat that is never in the water unless I'm in it. Its on a trailer in my shop. Customer service definitely lacks on this one. Pelican Pete really needs to improve.
