I had an incredibly alarming, toxic, and hostile encounter with the owner of this business. While he was attempting to park a long trailer truck, he told me to move my vehicle. I tried to help him and asked him nicely where I should park so it would be easier for his truck and trailer to get through. Instead of acting professionally, he immediately became aggressive, hostile, and began screaming and swearing heavily in both Arabic and English. When I defended myself verbally, he escalated to extreme personal threats, claiming he would track down my house and my family overseas to hurt us. He then attempted to initiate a physical fight with me, and I had to physically push him away to protect myself. I explicitly told him to go away because I was trying to conduct business, but he refused to leave my space and kept escalating his aggression. Even after his unprovoked explosion, I tried to calm him down and explain my peaceful intentions, but he completely refused to listen. I openly suggested that we call the police to resolve the issue safely and legally, but he completely refused to let the police be involved, which tells you everything you need to know about his background and character. This man is dangerous, highly aggressive, and completely unprofessional. Avoid this establishment at all costs.

In store was a good experience. HOWEVER, trying to actually get my merchandise from their on site warehouse was an absolute pain in the ass and for gods sake don't let someone else pick it up for you as it becomes worse. why can't someone show up with the receipt and that be good enough. you invade our privacy by photographing our Drivers license that should be enough.

We were set to buy a bed and new mattress. I think their delivery drivers are employees but they said they couldn't ask them to move the current mattress to the spare bedroom 18 feet away. We are in our 70's and were happy to add dollars to have it moved and they said they couldn't ask. Their reply NO guarantee their delivery people would do it. We were the one and only customers in the entire store. WHY would they give up a bed and mattress sale because they aren't able to ask delivery to move a mattress a short distance and be compensated?

***Delivery Crew Danger*** I have achieved a new level of anger this evening, at the ineffective and lazy delivery men of AFW. On top of them throwing my couches, damaging my walls, being insanely rude to my wife, cursing, intimidating my wife about having to take pieces of our couch up a flight of stairs, and complaining the whole time they were here, I have now discovered that the American Furniture Warehouse delivery men helped me achieve a new level of CUSTOMER DISSATISFACTION, by not even actually assembling the couch! Please tell me what was the purpose of the delivery?! What the actual fudge is the delivery fee for?! I only discovered this after I heard squeaking and grinding as we tried to recline and sit. And when I pulled on the top of the seats they all came apart. I have no idea if there is damage now and I cant begin to express my anger enough. This is the 2nd time AFW has failed massively. I realized as i went to google to leave this review they botched our delivery for my daughter's bedroom set 4 & 1/2 years ago. I had forgotten that, and inadvertently i have given them another chance. Its good to see they consistently fail. My mistake. Smh.

From an employee standpoint, drivers are expected to perform exhausting physical labor under poor working conditions while being underpaid and treated unfairly. Route assignments are heavily influenced by favoritism, with the best and most profitable routes consistently going to management favorites while other drivers are stuck with low-paying and more difficult routes. Drivers are also expected to work in dangerous weather conditions under threat of discipline or termination. The pay structure is one of the biggest problems. Drivers can lose income because of mistakes made by sales staff, even after doing the driving and labor involved. Drivers are also required to contribute $25 from their paychecks into an escrow account until it reaches $2,000. This account is used to cover damages to furniture or customer homes during deliveries, meaning drivers are financially responsible for accidents or damages that occur while handling extremely heavy merchandise every day. Employees have little transparency into how these funds are managed and no control over the money while it is being held by the company. Another issue is that drivers are often required to fully load trucks with heavy furniture, secure the merchandise, and prepare routes, only for deliveries to later be canceled. Even though drivers already performed the labor and still carry responsibility for any damages while maneuvering the furniture in the truck, they frequently receive no compensation for that work if the delivery does not happen. Management often lacks actual delivery experience, which leads to unrealistic expectations and poor decisions that directly affect drivers and customers alike. Drivers have repeatedly asked for improvements like a four-day work week to reduce injuries and burnout, but concerns continue to be ignored. Customers should also be aware that the furniture quality often does not match the prices being charged. A lot of the products are made with low-cost materials such as pressboard, particle board, and foam molding while still being marketed as premium furniture. “Sales” also appear misleading because many items remain at the same “discounted” price year-round. Another major concern is that returned items are allegedly resold as new merchandise, including mattresses in some cases. Customers spending thousands of dollars deserve transparency about what they are purchasing. At the end of the day, delivery drivers are the backbone of the company and customers are the reason the business survives, yet both seem to be treated as secondary priorities. Until AFW addresses the issues involving employee treatment, product quality, transparency, and management practices, I would strongly caution both potential employees and customers before doing business here.

We received our first order with damaged item that we returned. The second delivery of the same item was the same the item was damaged we returned it and we went to the warehouse to pick it ourselves. As we reached home the packet the leg of the cabinet was missing so we glued it to avoid returning to the shop as they mentioned we only had 1 more return chance.

I purchased a sectional with power an charging plugs. When they delivered an assembled it the plug feature was broken they warranty people sent replacement parts but they want me to pay for the repair person to come out. Also I've been waiting for 5 was for the end table to be delivered.

We talked with the Store Manager at the Waddell Location back in January while looking for furniture for our new home about renting part of the parking lot and he straight up lied to our faces saying you never rent or let anyone use you lot due to liability reasons. today we find out there is a new farmers market going in at that location. That is just rude and I will not be purchasing my furniture from American Furniture warehouse. I do not do business with deceitful people. He could have told us the truth.
