I have used Advanced Dermatology for several years despite having to drive 50 miles each way to get there. Today there was a sign on the door stating they are closing the office in Marathon & combining services at their Islamorada office. That means to continue using them, I will have to drive 85 miles each way! That is just crazy when there are other dermatologists close to my home. Today the wait was long because they were backed up, with not even enough chairs for everyone in the waiting room. Why close this busy office? I hope they consider what an impact closing the Marathon office will have on the community & their long term patients.

The only issue I've had at Advanced Dermatology is the wait time after you arrive for an appointment.

I have been coming to your facility for about 8 years. The wait times to be seen for an appointment is getting better but is far from being where it should be. Waiting in the outer office and then waiting on an inner office is still way to long.

The staff and drs. were very nice but I was a little disturbed that the initial Dr. who came in to see me was a Resident, which he did not disclose to me, as well as the fact he was the son of the said physician. The only way I knew was because the medical assistant mentioned it to me earlier. Being retired from the medical field, I am quite familiar with "residency". I had an appt. to see a physician who had completed his education...not a resident. The practicing physician did come in before the procedures were done and I WAS ASKED if I objected to Jr.,doc doing them. I said it was okay, but realistically I was not happy about it. I felt that if I said no, there would be bad feelings created, and that would not have been pleasant for anyone. Things turned out fine, but I felt that I was put in an awkward position and should have been told by the jr. Doc when he came in and introduced himself, that he was a resident.

Very caring staff and front desk. Attention to details always.

I would prefer to have a shorter waiting time. Otherwise, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable and I am confident they are looking out for my health.
