I had Mohs surgery in Dec. to remove squamous cell from my ear. It left a sore pimple like spot that hurts so bad I can’t sleep with my head on that side. I have called their offices countless times. They always say they have to transfer my call to another’s office. I get a voicemail to leave a message and no one ever calls me back. Last week I called Advnce again and (you never get a real person) and hit the prompt for the office mgr. I left another detailed message about my frustration and ask for help in just getting to see someone. She never returned my call. I feel like they should be sued for malpractice!

Advanced Dermatology aggressively…
Advanced Dermatology aggressively pushed upper line plus repeatedly over multiple visits. During one particular visit I had three registrars at one time going on and on about the program; how it would not affect Medicare, that it would give me all these additional benefits, questioning me why I would not want these benefits. And all I wanted to do is check in for my Dermatology visit. At the advice of my provider I had no solicitation added to my profile. Despite this, the continued questioning at every visit persisted . When I escalated to the office manager I was accused of being aggressive. When I told her I was going to file a complaint with Medicare she threatened to discharge me, which she did. Medicare investigation and Consumer Protection Agency investigation pending.

Advance Der. in Phoenix - Taking advantage of students
My daughter is going to ASU and is using Advanced Dermatology for dermatology needs. Unfortunately, this company talked her into some additional skin treatments, and being a young person, she felt pressured to say yes. When she said yes, the business billed her in advance for her appointment on her credit card. She was shocked that it was over $900, and she immediately called me, embarrassed and unsure what to do. We called and canceled the appointment three months ago, and they still haven't reimbursed us. We've spoken to the office manager multiple times, and she keeps saying the check is in the mail. I've been on hold for the last 30 minutes trying to get some answers as I write this. Yes, I know she's an adult, but as I mentioned, we called back immediately after she left their office to cancel the appointment so the company wasn't out any money. They are leaving me no other choice but to start writing reviews so others won't be taken advantage of as we have been. As a last resort, I will have to dispute the charge with our credit card company, cancel all cards, and start over. What a huge inconvenience!

The PA Hannah barely looked and me
The PA Hannah barely looked and me. She may have been in the room 5 minutes and said you are good. I had a better experience last time I was there with a NP. The NP I saw the last time took time to look at every lesion and freckle. Hannah could have cared less. It was a waste of my time and my insurance time. If you don’t care about people please get out of healthcare. When I walked out of exam room staff was across the hallway looking and talking. I hope they all know they are not going to be young forever. I work in healthcare. I am canceling my appointments and my husband appointment. My husband saw the PA named Greg he barely looked at him. My husband had some past skin issues and was using chemo cream to resolve the issue. Both PA’s did not care . I am very disappointed and appalled.

I had one of the worst experiences I…
I had one of the worst experiences I have ever had with this medical provider.
Before my procedure, I was explicitly told that I would not be responsible for any payment and that my insurance would cover everything. Based on that information, I agreed to move forward with the treatment.
To my shock, when I was leaving the office, I was suddenly told that I owed $600 due to an “error.” I immediately spoke with the manager, who assured me not to worry, saying they would review the situation with the billing department and resolve it.
After weeks of uncertainty and no resolution, I posted a review about my experience. Shortly afterward, I received a phone call asking me to remain patient because they were supposedly working with my insurance company to fix the issue.
Now, instead of resolving the problem, I have received a bill demanding that I pay $281. To make matters even worse, my insurance company has already paid this office more than $1,000 for the procedure—far more than the $600 they initially claimed I would owe. Yet they are still attempting to bill me additional amounts.
The most frustrating part is that at no point was I told I would be responsible for these charges. Had I been given accurate information from the beginning, I could have made an informed decision. Instead, I was repeatedly reassured that everything would be covered, only to receive surprise bills months later.
The lack of transparency, the contradictory information, the poor communication, and the billing confusion have been extremely stressful and disappointing. Patients should be able to trust the information provided by a medical office, especially when it comes to financial responsibility.
I would strongly caution anyone considering treatment here to get every statement regarding insurance coverage and patient responsibility in writing before agreeing to any procedure. My experience has been frustrating, time-consuming, and completely

Tru Sculpt
I had tru sculpt treatments done. It was very expensive and I was lead to believe that I should expect around av25% reduction. My results were very small. I talked with the nurse about how disappointed I was in my results. She agreed with me that there was minimal change after the treatments. I was told to exercise! If that had worked prior to the treatments, I would have not had the treatments! I expected a partial refund or the offer to try the treatments again. I cannot recommend this treatment or company. If you have a problem you are on your own. They do not stand behind their work.

The billing department has incompetent…
The billing department has incompetent people.
I had services provided on 7/1/2025 and they submitted a claim form to my Medicare supplement carrier. Unfortunately they only submitted the claim form and they did not submit the required document called the Standard Medicare Remittance Advice Since my Medicare carrier could not determine their liability until they knew what Medicare had paid two advanced dermatology .
When I spoke to the three customer services representatives reference below they all told me that they had submitted the proper paperwork and that my insurance company was ignoring them and I knew that that was not correct. In other words I knew the mistake was on their end not on my supplement insurance carrier's end but they refuse to accept that analysis.
My supplemental insurance company sent them 3 letters in October of 2025 telling them what they needed to do to get that claim paid. They completely ignored the letters and instead decided to send me several bills telling me that I had to pay it. I wrote a letter to my supplement carrier explaining the situation and then called them for a follow up and they told me about the letters that they had sent that had been ignored.
3 customer service representatives from Advanced Dermatology called me and basically lied to me and told me three different stories. I finally ended up paying the $98 bill myself just so they wouldn't turn me over to a collection agency.
I have now told them what they needed to do in order to get my supplement insurance carrier to pay their share of the bill which would be the $98 so that they could give me a reimbursement on the money I sent them. I left a message telling them what needed to be done because nobody answered the phone and we will see what happens. I expect my called will be ignored.
I have spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars worth of my time and I will never use Advanced Dermatology again so if you are you better make sure they submit the proper documentation to get any claims paid by your insurance company or companies.

My son’s doctor sent a referral to this…
My son’s doctor sent a referral to this place and I’ve been receiving calls and texts non stop. No need for this kind of volume of calls and pressure. People call when they feel like and or when they can. Stop the harassment. You already lost my kids and myself as patients of you.
