If I could give them 0 stars I would! I’ve been going to Staten Island Hylan blvd for over 3 years. The receptionists were never bright and constantly making mistakes but they have taken it to a whole new level now that you call one central line. My daughter waited a month and a half for an appt only to have them cancel it bc they never put in her medication. They told me they would contact me when they received it. They never bothered to order it again. I followed up with the pharmacy and finally have it to be delivered. They were supposed to schedule her as soon as they were to receive it. They wouldn’t schedule her when they canceled the last appt. Now they want her to wait 3 months for an appt! The meds are supposed to be administered every three months! These people are horrendous!

I've been coming to Advanced Dermatology for many years. Last year I used another provider for insurance reasons, but this year I returned. First, it took a very long time to book my appointment because I somehow had 3 charts. I spent over an hour on the phone (actually on and off, as my first and second call were dropped with no call back), simply to book. When I did finally book, my "Annual preventative skin check" they asked me if there was anything wrong. I said that there was not and that I schedule a preventative check every year. After the appointment I received a bill. I was puzzled because this appointment has always been free. When I called my insurance provider they informed me that the preventative care code was not used. It took a week for me to reach Billing at Advanced Derm. Their system returned my call with a recording telling me to call and the cycle continued until a human finally answered. When I asked them to resend the bill with the preventative code, they informed me that they no longer do preventative care. I called to speak to the office manager and when I asked why they would book an appointment that they do not offer, she informed me that I should have done my due diligence. So, I'm doing that now. DO NOT USE THIS PROVIDER and save yourself an administrative mess with unauthorized charges.

Advanced Dermatology is very poorly managed! Numerous people are scheduled with the same doctor at the exact same appointment time.I arrived to a waiting room full of patients all waiting for Dr. Patel. I asked how many people had an appointment scheduled for the same time as my appointment and 4 people had the same appointment time. I have never been at this office that I did not have to wait an unreasonable time. When I have seen Dr Patel she rushes through the examination.

The Doctors could be the best in the world, but if contacting billing or any human is impossible, none of it matters. - I've been on hold multiple times for 1hr just to see if anyone would ever pick up, nope. You can enter your phone number for someone to call you back. Of the four times I took that option, someone called me back once, multiple days later. Of course I missed the call, so the circle starts all over again. It's ashame, my Dr. was great, but I will never go here again. They habitually miss bill and their billing doesn't update when insurance makes the proper adjustments, so calls to their none existing billing department doesn't help resolve the issue, but they are sure to send you a past due notice with a threat of collections, but they have NO IDEA the HOURS I have spent trying to contact them for THEIR MISTAKES!

Looks like we have a problem that has to be addressed immediately. I came in your office on 4-19 and had a biopsy on a pre- cancer melanoma on my back. Paid a bill on $150.00 on same day. Received a phone call to come back in today ,which I did. Turns out today Thomas Pino Pa had a different spot frozen . Go to check out to pay my $40.00 co-payment and was told the payment was not $40.00 but another 150.00. Complained that nothing was taken off today, and had another spot frozen,not the original spot. Thomas Pino Pa froze another spot of possible melanoma and not the one that was originally done a couple of weeks ago. That biopsy was not touched. When I got home I had my wife show me pictures of the two spots before and after. She took another picture today showing the wrong spot was frozen.. If the charge is not going to be taken off, than I will start a chargeback and scream to the high hills ! Thank You, Ronnie Giles

Doctors are great, but if you get double billed for a procedure and attempt to contact management, billing, office personnel - or any human at all - you will be hold for 1hr-1.5hrs each time you attempt to contact billing, no one will give you answers, no one will call you back (even though several emails and voicemails have been left), no one will clarify why you were billed twice for a procedure (one in which was a follow up to the original issue that was not completely resolved at first attempt). So, you will either choose to pay a bill that is not accurate OR have a past-due bill that comes with a whole set of other problems that you will have to deal with. Because of this, I do NOT recommend this practice. Based on my experience, if you have an issue, it is likely that it will never be resolved and you will pay the price, literally.

We had a HORRIBLE experience with our visit to Advanced Dermatology. We will not be back. It is unfortunate, because we just moved to Denver from Los Angeles. Finding a Doctor is challenging enough, then calling in and scheduling appointments can stretch out 5 - 6 weeks or more. The Doctor's visit itself was good. I had scheduled a second visit to do a complete skin check. Dr Ella-Marie Rakowski was very professional & I was looking forward to working with her. The problem is with the Office Staff. I booked 2 appointments for myself and my wife for 3:25 & 4:00 PM on 4-18 5-6 weeks prior. My wife took a 1/2 day off of work to be at the appointment and I came from work in Downtown Denver. I drove 15 miles & my wife drove 25 miles. Upon arrival at 3:08 I spoke with Margreta ( I hope I haved the names correct - that would be the lady that has a man's Haircut , dresses & talks like a man). I discussed with Margreta that me & my wife made 2 appointments 3:25 & 4:00, my wife was running a few minutes behind because of traffic - could I take the 3:25 appointment & Judy / my wife could take the 4:00 appt. Magreta looked directly at me eye to eye and said that would be fine and then asked if I wanted to complete the sign in manually by paper or use the IPAD. When my wife arrived at 3:35 she attempted to sign in and take the 4:00 PM appointment as discussed with Magreta. Magreta coldly directed NO - You are late for your 3:25, you will have to leave. Judy discussed with Margreta that my husband Doug discussed with you the 2 appointments and how Doug was taking the 3:25 & Judy would take the 4:00. Again Margreta said there was no one to talk with , no flexibility , you're late - you have to leave and if you want I can reschedule another appointment. ( Be aware the earliest next appointment is June 29th or into July). When I exited my appointment with Dr Rakowski I looked for my wife. The current office staff told me they sent her away. When I discussed with them that I had discussed the appt swap with Margreta when I initially arrived at 3:08 and she said it was OK - the front desk persons all said I was wrong, nothing was discussed and too bad. I did explain that we just moved into Denver - this was our first visit & the swap was discussed and OKed by Margreta. This conversation turned into me against 3 of your front desk staff, then Alysha Aragon came to the front and very coldly exclaimed...there is nothing to do - your wife was late - we sent her away. Alysha then asked if I wanted to speak with the office manager. I did tell her NO because I truly feel that no amount of conversation from the Manger is going to change the lack of Professionalism exhibited by that group of Front desk staff. Then Alysha started into a little HAPPY DANCE while saying over & over " Have a nice Day - Have a nice Day. I did tell her at that time that her attitude and Have a Nice Day really was showing that she did not care about the patients. There is no way I could trust this group to handle any of my records or procurement of any complicated special order medicines. We will not be back to Advanced Dermatology. Furthermore - with Alysha's HAPPY DANCE and the Front Desk staff's lack of any care, concern and NO attempt to make anything right - I now will be looking for any Denver Regulatory Body that oversees Advanced Dermatology. I will be registering a complaint. My wife did look online for any previous reviews of Advanced Dermatology - she found many - most were negative and related to the treatment of patients by the office staff. So I guess I'm not the first unsatisfied patient. Too bad I didn't review them before I made the choice for both me & my wife to make appointments here. Since I am convinced that no amount of discussion with the office manager will change this unprofessional behavior - I will be posting this negative review to any and all Online ratings sites. I do not expect for this email to go anywhere in the Advanced Dermatology management, I do not expect this email to be answered or even read by Advanced Dermatology management. This email is for my benefit only as I am able to shed this bad experience & move on to find another Dermatologist. Like Alysha said about 20 times yesterday. Have a Nice Day.

I have never been treated so cruel If there was zero stars I would pick that I am a repeat customer of which I paid my bill A year ago for the first visit I rescheduled my yearly check up through their emails and confirmed my appointment and submitted my insurance information I got there on my scheduled date a little early And handed the receptionist my ID and insurance card and she looked at it and said to me “ oh Florida blue we don’t take that and since you have that she won’t even take cash payment from you” So I left feeling so rejected and literally felt ill from the cruel treatment I had just experienced The thought of that day still Bothers me and gives me a horrible feelings
