Mentoring on ADPList has been an incredibly rewarding experience. The platform has connected me with talented designers from around the world, and I love helping them move beyond creating beautiful designs to thinking strategically about business impact. Our conversations often go beyond design into branding, AI, product strategy, stakeholder communication, and career growth, helping mentees see themselves as business partners rather than just designers. Watching them gain confidence, think differently, and take the next step in their careers is what makes being part of the ADPList community so fulfilling.

Excellent platform for quality mentorship
ADPList has been an excellent platform for my career growth. As a medical doctor transitioning into digital health and product management, I connected with experienced mentors who provided practical, actionable guidance on career planning, LinkedIn optimization, networking, and personal branding.
What impressed me most was how accessible and supportive the mentors were. Every session offered valuable insights and clear next steps that helped me move forward with confidence.
I highly recommend ADPList to anyone looking for meaningful mentorship and professional growth.

Hi Mariam, Felix here!
I’m glad your mentors shared practical next steps across career planning, networking, and personal branding, rather than just generic advice.
Thank you for trusting ADPList with this next chapter. Keep going, and please come back to tell us where you land!

Technical disaster
I am surprised that not so many reviews here talk about how bad the technical part of the website actually is. I am not sure if ADPList is testing features and bugs with exactly my profile but for the last couple of weeks the website became almost impossible for me to use.
I couldn't message anyone for one week even though I reported the issue directly - probably, not being able to communicate on the platform at all was not seen as critical enough issue. For the last week, my profile was paused three times without any reason, the criteria of pausing profiles do not make sense, as the email with the pausing notification said "We have paused your account as a mentor because we noticed that you either have not accepted 5 booking requests in total. All requests expire after 48 hours of there being no response.". First, not accepting 5 requests IN TOTAL should not be the reason of pausing the profile - I am still actively giving sessions to my mentees. Second, the reason why the requests were not accepted from my side in the first place, was that on the website it is clearly stated that I have 3 days to confirm or decline a request. Here in the email it is only 48 hours out of a sudden. Third, the sentence "either have not accepted 5 booking requests in total" is not even logically finished. Other issues I had include not counting my sessions even though I was present and waited for 10 minutes for a mentee, not being able to open incoming messages, not being able to reschedule a session, sessions disappearing after one day, not being able to open a mentee's or mentor's profile, not being able to see a mentee's name, AI insights not being generated and my settings changed to enable autoaccepting sessions without my permission and without any notice.
The team is very slow to react to issues and resolve bugs - and it is pointless anyway because while they are working on resolving one issue, another one appears immediately after. The user experience issues were already addressed in the other reviews and I can only agree: the website is not intuitive at times and is partially structured in a not so logical way.
Felix the co-founder sent me a generic email two weeks ago saying "you had a mentorship session on adplist recently. did it actually help?" and asking to leave a review. Last time a had a session on ADPList as a mentee was on 17th of June, so it was not quite recently. I answered and addressed my technical issues and never got any response back.
I did not want to leave a bad review but I feel like I won't be heard otherwise. ADPList needs to invest much more in software development. It seems to me that the UX and software development expertise is severly lacking and no proper CI/CD pipelines are configured. Otherwise, I wouldn't experience so many bugs that made the platform basically unusable for me.

Hi Alona, Felix here.
Thank you for writing this, I appreciate it.
Let me take your last point first, because it is the one I can answer immediately: your reply never reached me. I went looking for it before writing this, and it is not in my inbox. The address that the campaign sends from is a send-only subdomain that does not receive mail, so replies to it go nowhere. Nobody chose to ignore you, but the effect on you was identical, and that is our fault.
Could you tell me where you sent it? I want to know how many other people we have quietly done this to.
On the pause emails, you are right, and the underlying bug is worse than the wording. The request timeout is 3 days, which is what the site tells you. The email saying 48 hours is simply wrong, and yes, that sentence is unfinished. More importantly, putting a mentor on break because booking requests expired is bad logic on our side, especially when you are actively running sessions. Being paused three times while mentoring is not a policy, it is a defect.
The rest of your list, messaging not opening, reschedule failing, sessions vanishing, profiles and mentee names not loading, AI notes not generating, and auto-accept turning itself on, is too specific to be coincidence. The auto-accept one bothers me most, because that is your calendar, not ours.
So rather than promise anything: I am pulling your account and tracing each of these myself, starting with the pause and the auto-accept setting.
Write to me at felix(at)adplist(dot)org, which does receive mail, and you will get an answer from me with what I actually find.
Thank you for writing this out properly instead of just leaving.

The mentee is a recent University…
The mentee is a recent University Graduate applying for his first position. He needed guidance on CV preparation and presentation. He is knowledgeable and, in my opinion, well prepared. It was a very nice experience.
Response from ADPListJul 27, 2026
Hi Jose, Felix here! Thank you for supporting a recent graduate at such an important moment in his career.
Preparing a CV and applying for that first position can feel daunting, and thoughtful guidance from someone experienced can make a real difference.
I’m glad the session was a good experience for you too. Mentors like you, who recognize a mentee’s strengths and help them present those strengths clearly, are what make ADPList work.
Since you left four stars, I’d also love to know what would have made the experience even better. You can reach me at felix(at)adplist(dot)org.
Thank you for mentoring with us!

Amazing experience, thoughtful session and friendly platform
I had a session with a pretty seasoned mentor. It was a thoughtful call, and I received what I was looking for. The platform is smooth and easy to use. I wasn't expecting an automated report at the end of the session, so that was a super plus.
Response from ADPListJul 26, 2026
Hi Cristian, Felix here! Really glad the session landed and that you got what you came for. The report you were surprised by is our AI session notes: it captures the advice and action items from the call so you can actually act on them instead of trying to remember everything.
It is one of my favorite things we have shipped, so it made my day that it surprised you in a good way.
Hope to see you back with your mentor soon!

Helpful Mentors and Actionable Advice
I started using ADPList as part of a requirement for a training program, where we were encouraged to book mentorship sessions for a month. I didn't expect it to become something I'd continue using beyond the program, but it has.
So far, my experience has been very positive. The mentors I've met have shared valuable, actionable insights that have helped me identify areas for improvement, and I'm already implementing their feedback.
What I appreciate most is the variety of mentors available across different career paths, making it easy to find someone whose experience aligns with your goals.
One tip I'd give new users is to book multiple mentorship sessions with different mentors. Occasionally, a mentor may be unavailable or unable to attend, so having other sessions scheduled helps you stay on track and gain diverse perspectives.
The only reason I'm giving 4 instead of 5 stars is because of the occasional mentor no-shows. Aside from that, my experience has been excellent.
Overall, if you're looking for free or paid mentorship to accelerate your learning and career growth, I'd definitely recommend giving ADPList a try.
Response from ADPListJul 26, 2026
Hi Ibiye, Felix here! Love that you came for a training program and stayed, that is the best outcome we could ask for. And thank you for being straight about the reason for the fourth star. Mentor no-shows are the most frustrating thing that can happen on ADPList, because you set aside time and showed up ready.
Our mentors are volunteers giving their time for free, so life sometimes gets in the way, but that should be rare, and we do act on mentors who repeatedly miss sessions.
If you ever get a no-show, email me at felix(at)adplist(dot)org with the mentor's name, and I will look into it personally.
Your tip about booking multiple mentors is genuinely good advice, and I hope the fifth star is ours to earn back.

My experience with ADPList has been wonderful.
My experience with ADPList has been amazing. No shortcomings whatsoever, surprised to learn about a platform as this that connects mentees, people starting their career or career transitioners to be able to have a session with a mentor and get advice/access to people you may never have been able to interact with or interface with in life physically due to location and cultural barriers but ADPList really made it possible for me and navigating the app is really easy, not difficult at all. I have had a great experience using this platform, being able to book a session and being able to have up to 3 sessions this month. I am glad to have found out about it.
Response from ADPListJul 26, 2026
Hi Favour, Felix here! This one really got me, because breaking down location and cultural barriers is the whole reason ADPList exists.
There are brilliant people everywhere who just never had access to the right rooms, and reading that you have booked three sessions this month tells me it is working the way we dreamed it would.
Thank you for taking the time to write this, and keep booking; the mentors are there for exactly this!

I am getting mentorship from amazing mentors…
I am getting mentorship from the people working in the reputed companies and I feel that whatever I learned with them is practical applications of all the knowledge and I would highly recommend it for new comers in the industry to talk to the professionals and get their guidence.

Hi Sharvari, Felix here! I’m glad your mentors have helped turn knowledge into something you can apply. Thank you for recommending ADPList to people beginning their careers!
