I definitely give Adopted .com five stars for being such a great tool for adoptees and birth parents to be able to easily use and search for their loved ones. Just put it in the information on your profile that you know, however limited it may be, and the site matches you to others that have uploaded profiles with matching or similar content! I did not know about this site when I was searching, but I now would recommend it to anyone who still is. I have successfully used it to help a friend find her child who was adopted. Once you send message, they have an advanced system that continues to let the connection know via email and other contact info you provided at sign up. It truly is very easy and invaluable in my opinion!

Well, I just read through the reviews and discovered that in the US and Canada they only pay $10 a month for this service. I'm in the UK and paying just under £15 per month. That works out as twice as much. That's just not fair. Also, I did cancel a while back. Then I got an email saying I had loads of matches but had to resubscribe to see them. I did that and none of the matches, well, matched. The weird thing is, I've been subscribed again for some time now and haven't had any emails about matches. I only seem to get them when I'm not subscribed. *Edit* Adopted.com reached out to me very quickly after I left this mediocre review. They were quite lovely and very helpful. They explained that, if a member is paying less, then they have a concession. I have, therefore, upped the stars on my review x

I would give zero if I could. UPDATE; Following this review I was contacted by the CEO(?) of the company based in Canada who was concerned about my review. Well done for the follow up - I expressed how hurt I had been and suggested changes to how post results. She asked me to add to my review following the call - I am a bit late but that is because I thought instead of being put throught the emotional turmoil I would employ an adoption tracing company - this cost a lot (money) but was emotionally totally different.

They did everything they could to try to contact a lead for me. Truly, they went above and beyond.

Adopted.com really CAN WORK! My (new) sister in law posted a long time ago, I found her/our match in the system, I pursued contact through the private messaging system and now have a new big brother and he has a mother and 2 new brothers! At 50 & 60 years old I can attest that it’s never too late to try!

Initially reviewed with 1 star due to something I didn't understand. Upgraded to 5 now. Founder Katherine sent me a personal email explaining what I was concerned about. They really do care, and go through great lengths in proving this. You can trust that they only have our best interest at heart. I have never quite experienced service like this. I would greatly recommend them.

I signed up and paid.. then I cancelled on the same day. I can't get back in to make sure I'm not a paying member. I have re-registered and changed my password, gotten a link to re-register and everything, but every time I got to sign-in the site gets stuck on getting an authentication code. Can someone please verify my membership is canceled. Should I have to pay a whole month if I joined for a few minutes? Thanks D Thomas. A phone number would be great! **I'm revising my original rating from 2 to 5. The developer reached out and helped me in a very timely fashion. That's exceptional support, but I do hope they find a way for folks who are not members to contact them with questions or concerns.

What an awful way to trick people into paying up. I am helping my wife search for her birth mother, we have all very specific information about her mother and entered all the required info to be told there is a match but we need to pay to view. As soon i saw the results a 5 year old could easily tell the results where total garbage and totally unrelated, total rip off.
