Not worth the extortionate prices. You can purchase alternative brands of the brush, the derma roller, and minoxidil for much cheaper on Amazon. The "reviews" and "testimonials" are highly exaggerated, and the Facebook group that is associated with this brand is just laughable. Stay clear of Adegen, it's a complete waste of money. The fact that its founder, John Goss, has had a hair transplant, says everything you need to know about this sham of a company. Mr. Goss will defend Adegen until he is blue in the face, but he knows fully well that the effectiveness of these products are very minimal, at best.

I placed an order Adegen online for delivery to South-Africa via DHL. When parcel got to our customs, it was investigated and customs noticed that Adegen Miss-declared the invoice amount, due to this miss-declaration from Adegen an additional penalty of 165$ was invoiced to me. I approached Adegen about this matter – it was very clear that they won’t assist in this matter. Below is the response I received. “There's nothing we can do here, unfortunately. If you don't pay the fees, the package will be returned to us. We'll have to wait until it's returned to us in order to issue you a refund. “ I did reply and explained that it is not the case, customs won’t send parcel back, if I don’t pay customs will send it to government storage which will cost another +-330$ - to which they didn’t even respond! So my frustration is, Adegen miss-declared my parcel and I was liable for they wrong doing – No compensation or any form of assistance what so ever was offered by them. It shows what type of business you are running. You just lost a returning customer. Regards RESPOND TO YOUR REPLY Are you that ignorant? Please read the email I have sent to you as well as this complaint. I had to pay an additional PENALTY FEE for MISS-DECLARATION of invoice on the parcel, which was your doing. I did not complain about taxes or custom fees. Stop brushing it off - it more of fraud situation than anything else. Why did you purposely miss-declared the invoiced amount? Maybe I should spell it out - my invoice I paid toward you was 640.83$, but you sent the package with an invoice for only 19.95$ - same order. So Customs said you miss-declared and a penalty fee was added. Do you understand the issue?

Adegen uses harmful chemicals in their ARB hair shampoo product. I tried to inform everyone in the Facebook group, but the administrator rejected my post and kicked me out of the FB group. It's evident that they lack integrity and consumer transparency. The ARB Shampoo contains sodium laureth sulfate, which becomes contaminated during manufacturing process with ethylene oxide and 1,4-dioxane. Both ingredients are carcinogens and are known to cause cancer in lab animals and humans. Additionally, the shampoo has blue 1 and violet 2 color additives, which are harmful to humans.

UPDATE 2: Finally got a response from Adegen customer support claiming their team saw improvement in the pictures I sent them. The problem is I sent 3 pictures and they commented on one which was NOT my final result after using Adegen for 3 months. In reality there was no noticeable improvement whatsoever and definitely no hair regrowth! The Adegen team proved to me that they will tell disappointed customers they can see improvement regardless of the truth. UPDATE 1: I sent my before and after pictures to Adegen customer support as requested. They responded, asking for details of the daily routine I followed, which I promptly sent to them as well. It has now been a week with no reply from them. I take that as an admission on their part that Adegen did not work for me as promised. ORIGINAL POST, JULY 2021: I had high hopes when I started using Adegen due to all the positive feedback from happy customers in their Facebook group. I purchased a 3 month supply (Kit #3 with topical 15) and followed the routine daily starting in November of 2020. I took several pictures along the way to help monitor any changes, and searched my scalp thoroughly many times after the first 2 months in hopes of seeing new hairs sprouting up. After 3 months of dedicated use, there was absolutely NO sign of hair regrowth whatsoever! My day 1 picture beside my day 90 picture looks identical. Very disappointed and will not waste any more money on their products.

Adegen is the biggest sham. Its very over priced and doesn't work. I started to use the shampoo and do the recommended routine my hair started to fall out even more and break. As soon as I stopped my hair has got better. It's the biggest con, and fda approved obviously means having the money to buy the certificatation. Avoid this company at all costs.
