Finally got sent a new Cpap machine after 8 months. No instructions, but then got an email to make an appointment to have the machine set up. Made appointment on line for December 28 at 10 am. Got 2 calls from Adapt regarding the appointment and where to go. Got to the Amherst St, Winchester, VA address only to be told I had no appointment. But they could see me tomorrow (December 29 at 2:30 pm). Got to store at 2:04 pm and they are closed from 2 to 3 pm. Called the 800 number and the local number, both are the same recording. The employee I got on the phone from the 800 number had NO clue what was going on. They are the worst of the worst. But they have a market that no one else fills locally. They have not been worth a darn since Valley Health sold the store.
I contacted the live chat only to be told to call 844-415-6016 or resolutions @ adapthealth.com to make a complaint.

In my experience
In my experience, AdaptHealth exemplifies everything wrong with the American medical system. My initial consultation with a knowledgeable US-based representative was very pleasant, but as soon as I left their office with my CPAP machine, I had to deal exclusively with heavily-accented overseas call center employees. They instructed me to send my machine's memory card to random addresses unaffiliated with my doctor to ensure compliance, contrary to previously-received instructions to bring it to my doctor and have her ensure compliance. All this was irrelevant to me anyway, since my insurance wasn't going to cover anything, but AdaptHealth's representatives were insistent. I sent AdaptHealth my memory card once, and completed a follow up appointment with my doctor, who reviewed the results of 90 days of CPAP usage data and told me the results looked good.
After enduring weekly to bi-weekly calls from AdaptHealth pressuring me to reorder supplies. I checked out an online supply reorder form that they emailed me. It did not provide any information about the price of what I would be ordering, so I opted to order through a third party with transparent pricing, hoping my involvement with AdaptHealth would be ending.
A few months later, I received a vaguely threatening yet confusing letter, informing me of non-compliance (despite my 90-day doctor's appointment) and stating that the credit card I had on file would be charged if I didn't remedy the situation.
I opened up a web browser and navigated to the web link provided in the letter, but the link was broken and would not load on any of my browsers. I then reluctantly called the customer service line. After the customer service representative was unable to adequately explain the situation to me, I elected to return my machine to them and cease CPAP therapy.
In conclusion, I may have a degree in chemical engineering from the University of Pennsylvania, but apparently I'm too stupid to navigate the process of using a CPAP machine. In the end, I'd rather deal with the consequences of untreated sleep apnea than even think about AdaptHealth again, and that might be the healthier choice, because the latter has induced a higher increase in my blood pressure than the former ever did.

stay away, incompetent company that just bills and bills people
they screw up everything, from not answering the phone
telling you incorrect information, not sending the devices
and every conversation is horrible, like talking to a 3 year old

Relentless Marketers
AdaptHealth bombards me with telemarketing messages (at least several a week) to order more CPAP supplies at their inflated prices. No wonder Medicare pays them pennies on the dollar.

By far the worst service I’ve had to…
By far the worst service I’ve had to deal with in my life. I usually don’t complain or waste my time to call c/s but I’ve had to call them monthly after being sent and billed for items I didn’t order. I sent the items back(with their return label) but they still refuse to refund me for the items that were returned. I highly recommend not using adapt health from my two experience with them.

Called last Monday
Called last Monday, waited on hold 1 hour and 40 minutes before I gave up. Just called now, and waited on hold for 1 hour and 12 minutes. No answer. They say “Dear Valued Customer”, but in fact, what they do speaks so loudly, I cannot hear what they say. I’m done with this company.

Ongoing Nightmare
If I could give negative stars it would be negative 10. Keep in mind this is a condensed version of all the communication we have had with this company over the past 4 months. A rep from the company notified my husband in August to let him know his cpap mask had been discontinued. He told them not to send the new one. They sent it anyway. The company sent a return label and we returned the masks to the company. That was the end of September, with arrival of the products to the company on October 2nd. In November, when we had late fees on the account I spoke with a rep and I was told it takes several weeks for the account to be credited. Today is December 20th. We are still fighting with the company over the returned products. Yesterday we received notification that we would be sent to collections. I called the company again and provided the tracking information for the return. Today they tell me the return was located and our account has been credited to 0 balance. They refused to send an email or other documentation to reflect the 0 balance. When I expressed concerns that we had been threatened with collections and they now refuse to provide proof of account balance, the rep recommended I set up automatic payments on the account to prevent being sent to collections. Needless to say, that is not an option!!! I will NEVER use adapthealth again.

Started ordering process in October, it is now December and no equipment
What a horrendous company to do business with…it has taken 2 months since I started the ordering process and I still don’t have the equipment or a tracking number or order confirmation. Every time I sent the info they requested, it took 1-2 weeks for them to say I or my doc needed to send them again. I sent two different order forms because I guess the first one didn’t go through? I finally got approval and submitted a payment, was told by phone the equipment would be shipped the next day and I would get an email with tracking number and it would arrive in 2-3 days. It’s been a week and nothing, no email. Sent an email asking about status, got a response the next day asking for my name and dob. Sent response immediately after…and nothing. A week now and had to send a frustrated response. I started the process Oct 20 and it is now Dec. 20. I am getting sick of dealing with this company and now they have my money for the upgrade.
