Using medical devices (CPAP & VPAP) since 1991 I've experienced the GOOD, BAD and Ugly of medical supply companies. When my wife needed portable CO-2 and a concentrator over 10 years ago my supplier, 1st Choice, became her supplier. A local company within 5 miles of our home. We knew the COO, the woman in charge of the office and the warehouse manager. They became friends and the COO would come to our home to check on any replaced equipment, fitting devices or any problems that may have occurred. Like most successful companies the were bought out by Aero Care an Adapt Health Company. Needing, 7/15/24, a new Nebulizer and Concentrator supplies she called the main number only to be passed to other people in different call centers. After 45 minutes and being placed on hold she finally gave up. I had arrived home to find her visibly upset and frustrated. She called again and asked to speak with a supervisor only to be placed on hold for 25 mins, and hung up. In 2021 I had helped her get a Concentrator and remembered a young lady named Denice that worked in the Chesapeake office and made this purchase so easy and pleasant that I had written her name and number on the delivery slip. I was very surprised when I called and she answered the number. She no longer works in Chesapeake but is still located in VA. As she did before she assured me that she would take care of any problems or questions that we had. There are not enough positive adjectives to describe Denice Barrett. She's friendly, knowledgeable, caring and one of the best communicator you could deal with. Relaying via phone calls or emails she went out of her way to keep us informed step by step what was going on. She also contacted Keith Doolittle, a bio medical technician, at the Chesapeake office and within 1 day the wife had a new Nebulizer and supplies and 2 days a new Concentrator. My wife has been using a rented hospital bed for the past 5 months. Over time the topper had become depressed forming a trof which made it impossible to get comfortable. I called customer service to find out what the policy was to get it replaced. I spoke with Morgan who was very nice and accommodative. She explained since the bed was under rental contract that they would come out and evaluate the condition and replace it if warranted free of charge. She made a ticket while I was on the phone and the technician came out that afternoon. The technician agreed it needed replacing and did what was needed to get it replaced. Another technician brought out the new mattress the next day. Both technicians were very friendly and accommodative. Overall this was a very pleasant experience and yes I would definitely use Fletcher medical equipment rental again.
