My technician Barry was extremely helpful. Helping to ensure the the wheelchair was as safe as possible and that it fit in my car. The company made things very difficult to get discharged from the hospital, as my paperwork that was submitted August 23 was not processed as of September 12. And no one knew why. This process delayed my discharge from the hospital as I was waiting for a wheelchair.

I was planning a trip to Quito, Ecuador elevation 10,000 Feet, April 18th - April 29th. I contacted a pulmonologist and he had me do an overnight monitor before my trip which indicated I needed supplemental oxygen at night. Adapt health brought me a very noisy machine to use at night. I put it in my closet and used earplugs to try to quell the noise so I could sleep. With it, I was getting 3-4hours of sleep a night. It was recommended that I take an oxygen machine with me to Ecuador to use in Quito at night to help my oxygen levels stay up. When I went to pick up my machine, it was an appropriately small one that would have fit in my suitcase. I asked how to use it and in trying to show me, they couldn't get it to work so they brought out the Eclipse5 that I ended up taking. It was twice the size of the first one so I'd have to haul it along with my other two suitcases, much less convenient than the first one. They had another smaller one but they said it "was spoken for." They explained how it worked and I understood. What they did not include was an extra battery to go into the machine when the first battery ran out. A charger was included as well but I found out toward the end of the trip that it's ability to charge the battery in the machine was limited. By the end of my trip, there was no battery left and I spent my last night struggling to breathe without the supplemental oxygen. When I was transporting the oxygen machine on the plane, There was supposed to be a "red tag" on the machine indicating it was approved for transport. There was not any such labeling on the machine. Employees at Adapt Health should be taught more completely about these machines, how they work and the requirements they need to meet when transporting them out of the country. Back home, when the person came to pick up the Eclipse5 I had taken with me, I complained about the noisy machine I had been given to use here at home. He graciously replaced the noisy machine with a quieter one, for which I am grateful. I am now able to get an appropriate number of hours of sleep at night. Also, Medicare is paying for these machines for me. My recommendation for your company is to fully train your employees not only how to properly use these machines, but also the requirements for transport out of the country. What happened to me, if it was an actual paying customer, could very easily have led to a lawsuit. And no one wants that.

Extremely poor customer service. I need a new CPAP machine. Called AdaptHealth. They said they need an Rx from the doctor please fax it to us. I called the Dr. No, AdaptHealth must send us a request for an Rx along with their standard form. Called AdaptHealth. No, that's not our procedure. The Dr must call us first. Called Dr office again. No, they must contact us. Spoke with the Dr himself. No, everytime we send an Rx, they tell us it's the wrong information, so they must send us the form first. So I am creating a form to send to my Dr. I've been a customer with AdaptHealth or a subsidiary for over 10 years. I need the new CPAP, but once I get it, I'm going to fire both AdaptHealth and my Dr. Terrible customer service on both parts. Unbelievable.

I would rate the people who drop off oxygen equipment at our house as amazing. But the support staff and automated calling system are terrible. I had no choice of companies for oxygen equipment but if I did I would never use these people again. Lack of equipment, expensive, understaffed
