This company is a huge rip-off and one reason insurance rates keep going up. I was told on my last order that my total copay would be $10.10. I was told that my insurance was contacted and that my deductible had been met. I asked for confirmation and was given it. I received my order, paid my $10.10 and a month later, got a bill for $191.02. I contacted customer service and was told "sorry". I pay them $37.54 for an Airfit F20 Lg. I can purchase the exact item on Amazon for $18.99, without insurance. This is not hard to figure out!

Fraudulent billing practices, the company says they verify with insurance company, then come up with a $ amount you owe before they are willing to ship the order. In my case the one and only order from them, the insurance contracted rate was $44 lower than what they told me I must pay before shipment. I disputed with credit card company and the company agreed they over billed me. Then a month later I get a bill for the remaining $44, that they agreed was over billed. Bill just shows I owe $44, no explanation. Just total fraudulent company. Evidently I am by far not the only one who thinks this.

They send out 90 day supplies, They send out invoices and I pay it. But the invoices never stop they keep billing different amount month after month it never stops. They are ripping people off with their confusing billing process. Seems fraudulent to me. Get your supplies somewhere else.

Customer service and billing is awful: worst that I have ever experienced. Do not be misled by the initial delivery and help with your equipment, which was very good. The issues start when there are billing issues, overcharges or requests to cancel your service. They are non-responsive and their billing is NOT transparent. Be careful! They often will sign you up for 3-month subscription after the device is paid for. Avoid this company at all costs because it will cost you both money and aggravation!

In summary: Adapt health customer service is inept, contradictory and unhelpful. Don’t do business with them. One month into my situation I believe I found the one employee that cared and was capable of resolving my issue. Thank you Danielle! Hope you find a better company to work for- they don’t deserve you.

Had a horrifying experience! My child had surgery and recovery requires her to have a bed side commode. One was supposed to be delivered to our home upon our arrival. We waited over two hours (after a four hour drive home from the hospital). When the driver showed up, the box on his truck was empty. He offered no solution to rectify the situation - just threw his hands up, got in his truck, and drove away. This happened “after normal business hours” so I called the after hours number. They took my information, but I was never called back. My child was in pain from surgery and in agony from not having access to a toilet. I had to buy one urgently. I now own a bed side commode that I will never use again after her recovery is over.

Delivery on 7/24 just fine. Gentleman was kind and lovely. But was ordered post surgery to be delivered before I left hospital. Reordered 7/20, that order you couldn't find. So didn't receive until 1 1/2 days after discharge. Zero communication at all until 1 hour B4 delivery yesterday.

I’m adding my voice to the long list of billing complaints for AdaptHealth. My experience has been frustrating and frankly unacceptable. On July 14, I was told the bill was sent to my secondary insurance. Yet by July 21, I was still receiving letters and phone calls about a balance I supposedly owe—now with interest added. When I called the billing department, I was told they were still waiting on the primary insurance to respond. That doesn’t add up. Either the bill went to secondary or it didn’t—which is it? This isn't just a mistake—it’s a pattern of poor billing practices. Dealing with secondary insurance seems beyond their capability, and worse, I was given conflicting information each time I called. Whether it's incompetence or misrepresentation, I’m done being harassed with repeated calls and mailings. I’ll pay the bill just to make it stop, but if it turns out both my insurances pay and they keep my payment too, I will report this as insurance fraud. I’m also filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau (BBB). AdaptHealth already has 1,005 customer complaints, including 439 in the past 12 months. A large number are related to billing—so I know I’m not alone. Consumers deserve transparency and basic competency, especially when it comes to medical billing.
