Adams Review
Overall, Adams was very helpful to our firm as far as filing our 1099s, W-2s, etc. The process of filing was not hard, but I would like to mention a few things that I noticed and I think would be beneficial changes to make the software even better in the future. The first thing that would be useful is a "recipient" list similar to the "Payer" list. When one logs in to Adams, you have the option to search all payers that have been put into the system, a list like this for all recipients that have been added would be great because our firm has several clients that pay the same people/businesses. This would make our time more efficient if we could search a recipient that we know forms have already been filed for or we knew had been filed in previous years. Bouncing off of that, another adjustment that would be great is when I'm working on a specific payer and I go to "create a new form" then to "choose a recipient" if that dropdown recipient list included all recipients that had forms filed in previous years instead of having to go back and search for them by previous years from the "payers" tab. Again, I believe this would make the process more efficient. Third, when creating a form and after choosing the state, in our case Alabama, if the software would automatically include Alabama state codes instead of manually having to type in "0000000000" for every single form in order to file state it would make the process more efficient. The fourth thing that would be helpful is if there was a way to add several members to our firms Adams account for login verification purposes. Having two-three administrative persons that could receive verification codes to login to Adams would be extremely helpful. Lastly, our firm did experience some filing issues this year and when we tried to reach out to Adams for help, we were met with AI generated responses. While AI is very helpful in most cases, the problems we were facing could not be solved with AI. A more effective way to contact an Adams representative would be helpful.

Thank you for the detailed feedback — we’re glad Adams has been helpful for your 1099 and W-2 filings and truly appreciate your suggestions. A searchable master “Recipient” list, expanded prior-year recipient dropdowns, and automatic state code population (such as for Alabama) are all excellent efficiency improvements, especially for firms handling high volume. We also understand the importance of multi-user login access for administrative teams. We’re sorry to hear you experienced filing issues and difficulty reaching a live representative. While AI can help with common questions, more complex matters should be handled directly by our support team. Your feedback has been shared internally, and we appreciate your partnership as we continue improving the platform.
