I recently purchased products from Acratech and wanted to share my experience. I found their products to be of good quality overall, meeting the standards of strength, lightweight design, and versatility as advertised. However, I must note that I didn't find anything particularly exceptional or outstanding about the products I purchased. They simply performed well and fulfilled their intended purpose.

Wish it was designed to cover the whole…
Wish it was designed to cover the whole bottom of the M series and that the hex screw wasn't silver. Other than that it will be functional.

I sent a tech/customer service question concerning am arca clamp I purchased. It took a while for them to respond. However, when they did it was helpful. They were fair overall.

Hi Richard / Tyler , I am so sorry, sometimes emails fall through the cracks but we have been working on an answer. I looked up your email from January 5th and saw the photos. Your ballhead has the proprietary Sunway photo ball with a top for their clamp. We have been researching this and have still not found the right solution for you. Scott says that he is pretty sure that he has seen an adaptor but I believe it is for a Bogen Manfrotton and not a Sunway photo. The part is actually quite different. There have been 3 of us looking for a solution and none of us have been successful in locating the correct adaptor. Please return the clamp for a full refund. Product _leveler_ is good however
Product _leveler_ is good however, one major shortcomings is the lack of an option to set the resistance to movement once the "lock" screw is released. With that in place it would take it an excellent leveler.

Hi Gordon, Thank you for the feedback. This can be added back on but we find that pre setting it here in the optimal position for general use works best. You can always back off on the main know and you will have enough tension to hold the setup and still make an adjustment before re locking it down. This method is super easy and over time you will find it unecessary for the secondary adjustment knob. Cheers.

Good so far.
I have owned many ball heads including RRS BH 55 and this one ranks with the the best. I like the gimbal option and the size/design. I am earning to set the tension, hoping it will perform like my large gimbal. I am writing this review before using this in the field. Requests for reviews would be much more valuable if done after 3-6 months.

NEED LARGER INDICATOR MARKS.
Due to my age, but maybe younger folks have problems too, the registration marks and especially the indicator mark are too small to see easily. That is only on the horizontal axis. The mechanics and build quality are superb
