Good customer support

So - I built a small legal tech tool with a development team for my own practice. Realized I did not enjoy software sales (LOL) so I listed the tool on Acquire for sale. I'm happy to report that through the listing I found a qualified and serious buyer after only 3-4 interactions with less serious "tire kickers" and completed the transfer of the tool in record time - and got paid through Acquire's escrow provider. Everything worked seamlessly - and was aided along the way by a very good Acquire VP Rosa. For a first (and probable last) time software "entrepreneur" I really can't speak highly enough about this service.

Their fees were way to expensive for what you get. I was able to sell my business on their platform and very appreciative of it, but the amount of money they took did not make sense based on the level of service I received. Their team was very responsive, but really just handled an introduction to escrow.com to handle the money transfer. Outside of that I felt quite lost as a small business owner going through this for the first time. I'm not saying they did a bad job at what they did, but I feel like I got scammed and spend a lot of money to be introduced to a buyer through a platform and still had to do all the work while paying a broker level of a fee.

I was listing my startup and the identity verification step failed on me — the automated camera check wouldn’t go through. I emailed support expecting to wait days, and got a prompt, genuinely helpful reply from Luther Muller, who stayed with it until it was resolved. It worked on the next attempt. That’s the part worth saying: plenty of platforms have a verification step that fails, and far fewer have someone like Luther who answers properly when it does. The listing process itself is well put together too — the step-by-step builder, the auto-signed NDAs and the automatic buyer access all took work off my plate rather than adding to it. Acquires' help team is the best! I have only experienced a team so dedicated to helping their customers once, and that was with Delta Airlines. This site has, bar none, the greatest help desk I have experienced. Also, the site itself for uploading a startup for sale? *chefs kiss* Butter!
