Their fees were way to expensive for what you get. I was able to sell my business on their platform and very appreciative of it, but the amount of money they took did not make sense based on the level of service I received. Their team was very responsive, but really just handled an introduction to escrow.com to handle the money transfer. Outside of that I felt quite lost as a small business owner going through this for the first time. I'm not saying they did a bad job at what they did, but I feel like I got scammed and spend a lot of money to be introduced to a buyer through a platform and still had to do all the work while paying a broker level of a fee.

Hayden, first off, congrats on selling your business! We're sorry to hear the experience didn't meet your expectations. Our success fee is primarily focused on helping founders find qualified buyers, which is often the hardest part of selling a business. This includes marketing your business to our buyer network, generating interest, and helping coordinate the transaction through closing, including covering Escrow.com fees. While our team reached out several times to offer support, we clearly could have done a better job communicating what assistance was available. That's something we'll work to improve. We appreciate the honest feedback and, most importantly, we're happy we could help you successfully exit your business. Wishing you all the best with whatever comes next!

The Service doesnt offer monthly subscription and if I had to cancel after 30 days there is no provision, waste of money for whole year. Poor customer exp too!
Response from Acquire.comSep 8, 2026
Hey Ted, appreciate the feedback. We moved away from monthly plans because buying or selling a business often takes longer than 30 days, but I completely understand that an annual plan isn’t the right fit for everyone. Sorry to hear the experience fell short here and we’ll keep the feedback in mind as we continue improving Acquire.

They claim to be a marketplace to sell startups and SaaS platforms. However be warned, its most likely a waste of your time where after you complete everything, they then require you to price the website in their metrics and demand 3 years P&Ls. How does a start up have 3 years of P&Ls? And who are these people to tell you how much you can ask for your business to sell it? They insist on multiples and I was not selling my SaaS platform based on income because its new, I am selling it on the business concept, the extensive software build out, domain, and app. To these guys, thats worth zero it only can be sold here if you have 3 years P&Ls and income where using their multiples it will generate a sale price you would sell your business for. I think this is a very deceptive site.

Thanks for the feedback, Scott. We understand the frustration. Our goal is to connect founders with serious buyers, which means we do have certain financial and valuation requirements before a business can be listed. These are based on what we see buyers actively looking for and what helps startups successfully get acquired. That said, we agree these requirements should be clear upfront so founders don’t spend time on an application that ultimately isn’t a fit. We appreciate the feedback and will use it to improve the experience.

All listings are displayed with minimal data, so you have to click through and request access just to decide within 60 seconds that it doesn't fit your criteria. TrustMRR is a much better site, unfortunately they don't have quite as many listings as acquire. not worth $390/year IMO

Thanks for the feedback, James. We understand the frustration. We try to balance giving buyers enough information to evaluate opportunities while also protecting sensitive seller data until access is requested. That said, making it easier to quickly identify whether a startup fits your criteria is something we’re always working to improve. Appreciate you giving Acquire a try and sharing the feedback.

didn't list my start up because of zero revenue. my complaint is that there should have been a message from the beginning stating this before completing the application.
Response from Acquire.comAug 21, 2026
Thanks for the feedback, Cengiz. You’re right that we should make our listing requirements clearer before founders spend time completing the application. We currently focus on startups with revenue because those are the businesses our buyers are most actively looking for. We appreciate you calling this out and we’ll look at how we can communicate that earlier in the process.

Support wasn’t helpful, very unresponsive and tried to charge me more fees than they were supposed to. Super odd experience.
Response from Acquire.comJul 17, 2026
Hi Cameron, we're sorry to hear you had a frustrating experience. That's definitely not the standard we aim for. We'd like to better understand what happened, especially regarding the support experience and the fees you mentioned. If you're open to it, please reach out to us directly so we can review everything and make it right.

I sold my business through Acquire.com (transaction 13157004). After the deal failed to close because of the buyer’s unauthorized actions, Acquire’s representative issued firm “legal” determinations directing who kept the money and the asset — then retracted them in writing, conceding Acquire is not a party to the agreement and “does not make binding legal determinations.” Acquire then refused to relist my business, telling me Escrow.com had confirmed restrictions on my account. Escrow.com confirmed in writing the opposite: my account is in good standing, with no restrictions, current or historical. When I showed Acquire this, they abandoned that reason and switched to vague “discretion,” calling it “final.” Their brokerage affiliate kept a US$440 broker fee on a transaction that never closed. I’m not writing this out of anger — every sentence above is documented. My experience is that Acquire gave a specific reason its own escrow partner contradicts, then changed the reason when challenged. I’d encourage other founders to keep written records of everything and to verify any claim Acquire attributes to a third party.

Hi Tuna, I'm sorry to hear you had a frustrating experience. While I can't discuss the specifics of a transaction publicly, our decisions are made after carefully reviewing the circumstances and with the long-term integrity of the marketplace in mind. If you're open to it, I'd be happy to review everything personally. Please reach out to me directly at [email protected], and I'll take a look myself. – Andrew Gazdecki, CEO at Acquire
