Of course if there was a negative star review I would have used that. This card is most definitely a SCAM! I cleared my balance with them months ago and clearly asked them to close my account. They never did and I got some fraud activity on it. When I tried to contact them at first for about a week or two none of their systems worked, neither their phone system, their online, or their app. Finally I got a hold of someone who admitted to the fact that the charges were from strange sites and were obviously fraudulent. He promised to clear them and close the account. This was five months ago. I have been trying to contact them via calls and letters and so on. Their phone service is a disaster! I sent them a letter and they sent me a letter back giving me their phone number and asking me to call them back!!! The absurdity! I actually DID try to call them back and got hung up on every single time! Every month they casually send me an email with a higher amount due to interest asking me to make a payment! How dare they! I am getting SICK! Like ulcer pain sick every time I hear the word comenity. Please save yourself from pain and DO NOT APPLY for this SCAM CARD!

I would like to add my voice to those that say not to use this bank. I have a cc with them through BJ's. They don't answer their phone and they are never helpful. I pay my balance off every month but they are charging me $300 in interest payments because I was out of the grace period. The representative couldn't tell me what that was. I have canceled my card and will never do business with them again.

WORST LENDER in the country! Buyer Beware! Bought a $25000 diamond engagement ring from #BlueNile online jeweler and applied THRU THEM for financing was approved thru Comenity Blue Nile with no interest for one year. Right at the one year mark (during Covid) my fiancé and I were both sick with Covid and hospitalized. Needless to say i missed the deadline for NO INTREST. I called 2 weeks later when i was well again, and explained that I was infected with Covid and was in the hospital and that i was willing (during that call) to pay the entire balance of the no interest loan right then in full! and they could care less! they did NOTHING for me, and wacked me with over $7000 in interest that Iam now on the hook for to pay....this company is REPREHENSIBLE to say the least....

Horrible service. Never send you any emails for confirmation or payment or even close account. VERY VERY high interest rate. They hang up on you as they wish. I paid off and close my account months ago, trash the card and they call me for purchase and interest fee.

THIS BANK IS A SCAM! They post interest after you have your balance paid off without letting you know. Then the interests add up to hurt your credit score. Read all the reviews, AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!

I should have read the wealth of warnings across the Internet not to deal with this company before I applied for a PayBoo card on the B&H Photo website. I was looking to make a major purchase where I would have saved nearly $200 on taxes. According to the offer for the card, those who signed up would get instant approval, which I am assuming is based on an excellent credit score. My credit score is 830-850. There is no reason I would not get instant approval. I didn't get instant approval and since I needed the computer I was looking to purchase, I ended up having to pay the taxes. That irritated me as I should have been able to instantly use the card and savings that was being offered. A week later I get a letter in the mail asking for additional information. When I called Comenity I had to wait on the phone for a considerable amount of time to get an agent. When I got the agent, I was told that the holdup wasn't due to my credit score but that they just needed additional information for verification. Why on earth the verification process wasn't completed at signup and I didn't get the instant approval that some others received is beyond me. I told Comenity I was no longer interested in their card. You don't offer instant approval and not give it to someone with a credit score like mine. When I needed that offer to be applied to a purchase it wasn't available.

Comenity apparently has 2 different profiles / accounts for me so when I call because the ONLY card I have with them - a store card (Express.com) - won't acknowledge the card as a method of payment because there aren't enough digits in the number NOR an exp date / CVC - NO ONE CAN HELP ME. Every time I call, they tell me I must have MY information wrong (MY current address to which they SENT me a new card), and then we uncover that there are "multiple departments" that have 2 different profiles, etc. I still can't use the card online - it's been about 7 months? I don't have any idea how to rectify this, but I will never knowingly be involved with this bank again. Horrible, uninformed customer service, for the most part, with 1 single exception of a girl who had a suggestion for me because she had a similar personal experience with... another Comenity bank store card. ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS
