Mas Royal Villa in Provence - I think this is the first time I have ever sent in a 1 star review. The villa and surroundings themselves were excellent - crazy amazing really, but amazingly poor service from A&K Villas staff combined with other Villa-related items gives this a 1 star review. Again the villa was amazing - but the service staff was mostly made up of brand new US cooking school interns who did not know the villa (had been there one week before we arrived) and also had no service experience so they didn't know basics like how to open a bottle of wine or make coffee. They tried really hard though and charmed us with their hard work and effort. The Chef was amazing and the housekeepers same. Another horrible issue was the villa owner added a random $10,000 charge at the end for "event services" which was neither on the contract nor were we told about it in advance. When I inquired about it I was told that we should have been told about it up front by A&K Villas - at any rate it wasn't part of the rental contract and we did not pay it. Regarding A&K Villas - the villa was listed as coming with a personal concierge and a butler. The villa had neither. A&K Villas staff in London and France attempted to arrange our guests transfers to and from the airport but mis-spelled names, got times wrong, and even though the request for the transfers was made more than month out they did not get us the info regarding them until the week of the trip. My opinion is that I would not recommend Abercrombie & Kent Villas based on my experience. I would definitely recommend their travel planning and travel hosting services as I have used them many times - much better than A&K Villas.

The house, staff and quaint town were beautiful. It was the perfect Tuscany experience for our family. Highly recommend this property.

Beautiful Villa, well kept and managed.

Very friendly and informed agent. Listened to what I wanted and came up with a detailed plan. Have used this company previously and would highly recommend them.

Bit of trouble getting in, but the villa was as good as it looked in the brochure and we had a lovely time.

I've had a really hard time with your customer service, my emails are very rarely replied to and I have to ask several times to get questions answered. I paid for the Gold package and don't feel like I've had any benefit from that at all. I hope when we get to the Villa things get better, but so far the process has been very disappointing.

Wonderful trip to Botswana. Great pre-sale service and itinerary planning, and excellent accommodation, food and activities.

The villa had beautiful bedrooms and bathrooms. The housekeeper Liz was excellent. The only negatives were .... The pool area had only 6 lounge chairs and the house can sleep 8 people . There should be a chair by the pool for everyone. We had to take turns which is ridiculous. Umbrella's by the lounges would also be nice. There were a limited number of glasses ..both beverage glasses and wine. Had to always wash or run dishwasher. We had the chef come to cook and she even complained that there wasn't enough glassware For the price we paid, this was unacceptable
