We recently returned from a wonderful family holiday arranged by Abercrombie. It was supposed to be our 2020 trip, but was postponed in 2020 and then 2021 due to Covid, although certainly worth the wait. Abercrombie did a fantastic job and I would strongly recommend them this type of trip. We have previously travelled with certain of their competitors on safari to Africa (Kenya and elsewhere), and whilst those other trips were good, the level of assistance and responsiveness from Abercrombie was much superior. The fact that they have their own office in Nairobi made everything run far more smoothly during our holiday than was the case during previous trips. Our UK contact (Ben) was also excellent. Due to the 2 Covid related postponements, there was a lot of interaction and he was super helpful, responsive and easy to deal with. The 5 star rating is strongly deserved.

2 Stars We were very disappointed. This was our first trip with A&K. Our guide was unprepared and inexperienced. The price we paid was not equivalent to the service received. Portugal is beautiful, we tried to start each day with a positive approach, though each day had some sort of mistake or challenge. I do believe the guide was the problem but A&K did not provide much support for her. A hot day on a bus with 30 degrees and no air conditioning should have at least rated a cold drink when we arrived. There was seldom a welcome drink or a happy hour at the end of the day. We were visiting a vineyard but the wine with dinner was not included. The tours were short and we spent time waiting for tickets and buses each time. Tickets were not purchased prior to arrival. Often she had to ask for directions, one time taking us to entirely wrong place costing an extra 1.5 hour driving. The group was diverse so one guide for 19 people was not appropriate. Had she needed to assist one guest we were on our own. The hotels were fine but not exceptional. When I requested upgrades at time of booking, I was told not available. When I requested with the hotel, it was available. One week before departure I had not received any kind of information. It took several calls and emails to complete departure forms. When my luggage did not arrive, I called the customer service number to ask for assistance contacting airport and they were not able to find my reservation. All and all, very disappointed with A&K Portugal is lovely and we are enjoying our post tour time with friends.

A&K organised a safari holiday for us in Tanzania, which ended with a few days on the coast in Zanzibar. We are an elderly couple with no experience of Africa so were absolute in the hands of the organisers. All I can say is that this turned out to be our best ever trip, with flawless organisation despite much that could have gone wrong, including internal light aircraft flights and numerous meet-ups etc. Our guides on Safari were knowledgeable and friendly - as were all those who looked after us. The hotel in Zanzibar was luxurious and perfect for recovering after several day long Safari drives. Absolutely 5 stars for A&K.

We had a wonderful holiday. Our ages ranged from 4 to an awful lot older! There were three generations and we really wanted camping as well as the Mara river migration. We had both, and a great stay at Mehru. Our start was interrupted by Covid and with all the preplanning there was considerable interchange with A&K. Ben Harrison was terrific, always calm and efficient. He organised a really great holiday. An unsung hero was Christine in Nairobi but we enjoyed everywhere. The camping team provided a real chuckle: I have never seen such an enormous bowl of gluten free porridge for one person which illustrates real attention to each persons needs. It was all capped with fishing on the coast, which was yet another highlight. Absolutely brilliant, thank you very much indeed.

Guy responded very quickly to my initial enquiry about a trip to the Middle East. He sent us an initial itinerary within days, and between us we tweaked it over a number of weeks.. from start to finish it was an easy and exciting process. Guy was very pleasant and friendly..

Two weeks prior to my trip to Egypt, A/K cancelled. They refused to refund my money or re-schedule my trip. Has anyone else experienced these policies?

From the moment I placed an enquiry with Abercrombie and Kent, the service was beyond all expectations. The agent, Ben, listened carefully to my concerns related to travelling with a disabled person. He arranged the perfect holiday and was patient with my frequent questions. We then met Christine in Nairobi. She too was excellent. A perfect service I'm recommending to all and will use again. Thank you, Anita
