Great trip to Iceland. Very well planned ahead and our local guide was fantastic. The hotels were excellent and the activities were very varied (landscapes, adventure, relaxation, etc.). We did so much in one week that it felt like we were there for one month! We would recommend a more detailed explanation of what the activities entail to be better prepared (eg. some activities required a very good fitness level which was not the case for all of us, how many hours of car travel are required, and how long each activity is expected to take).

Absolutely faultless service everything was perfectly planned myself and my son had an amazing trip

The Villa we booked through A&K was gorgeous and as described, but the service from A&K rep was really really poor - didn’t turn up on our day of arrival to welcome us nor arrive the follow day to walk us through any issues (we sadly we had - not massive ones but still needed resolving). Eventually had to contact A&K back in the Uk after no contact through the numbers provided (one even said not accepting incoming calls!). Eventually turned up on day 5 of 7 and sorted most of the issues. We agreed for him to attend on the last day to collect the keys and to check the Villa before we left….. never turned up. For the cost, this level of service is simply unacceptable - I would have got better from TUI!

We have just finished 12 days 7:28-8/8 Kenya and Tanzania Africa holiday. A&K has pride itself to be a luxury tour operator which is definitely not our experiences. It’s more like flying economy plus. Issues are 1. A&K cars are old and have lots of wear. 2. We were stuck at a air strip in Kenya border for over 2 hours. The local representative of A&K did not give us updates and told us it’s operation issues in different cities (Arusha and Nairobi). I kept on calling the A&K customer service lines and was promised he would call back and he never did. 3. 1st Guides in Anbrosi English is difficult to understand. 4. Many members in our group all have stomach issues during our trip. 5. Our departure from our last spot was moved up about 2.5 hours and from our perspective, it’s for A&K convenience and cut short of our enjoyment 6. Our main guide instead of apologizing to guests to mid-handling and poor A&K operations, he keeps on saying “Let me tell you…”….this is my 3rd trip to Africa and have travelled over 110+ countries around the world and this supposed “luxury” experience has to be the worst. Our fellow travel members ran into various issues and very unfortunate.

Trip to Bali. Gary at Abercrombie & Kent organised a fantastic itinerary for our two week trip to Bali. The itinerary was well balanced so we felt we could enjoy a holiday but also saw much of what Bali has to offer. The guide we had with us for our trip was a truly lovely person who was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Would thoroughly recommend booking a holiday through A & K. It really was a trip of a lifetime and we have come home with many very special memories. Thank you A & K!

Our trip to Spain and Portugal did not meet expectations. This was our first A&K trip. It did not compare favorably to our Tauck trips, Backroads, or even trips we planned ourselves and guides we hired. There were numerous disappointments that I won't even mention here. My husband and I both wrote to A&K and received no response. We didnt want anything from them...in fact we wouldn't take another trip with them if it was free. We were only trying to give some constructive feedback. I would be happy to go into more detail if anyone is interested.
