It amazes me why organizations/businesses inundate one with all of their unsolicited offers. Did I join AARP when I received their first offer? NO. The second offer? NO. The third offer? NO. Will I join AARP when I receive the next one? The answer is NO. Matter of fact, it will always be NO. Organizations/Businesses like AARP are like hemorrhoids; nothing more than a pain in the ass with no immediate relief in sight. I will receive a grocery bag of unsolicited spam mail each week even though I have signed up for promotional mail to stop. If I require any insurance, hearing aids, automobiles, home warranties, pest control, AAA, AARP, or solar panels, I will reach out to those people. I DO NOT REQUIRE WEEKLY OR MONTHLY REMINDERS.

We received the letter from UnitedHealthcare. It is announced that the rate for our AARP UHC Supplemental Insurance plan N will increase 12.4% for the year 2024. The inflation rate in June was 3%, in July 2023 3.3%. How can the medical insurance get the rate increase 4 times higher than the inflation rate? Who profits from such a business decision? Who cares about retirees with a fixed income? What does AARP do to protect American retired persons from greedy insurers? Or the AARP activity is advertisement only?

My wife & I joined AARP as we are traveling soon, they go thru Expedia for travel & to find out booking a flight was almost $100 more than we would pay just looking online for same exact flight. "BAIT & SWITCH, LYING,RUDE,DECEPTIVE" aarp are CROOKS & Should be ashamed of themselves saying they are helping Seniors!! Disgusting practices. I will never ever use them again. I'm looking into canceling my membership

UPDATE: 08/22/23; Awaiting a court appearance vs. Phillips & Cohen collection agency representing Barklay Bank's AARP credit card. AARP rev for 2022 was $1.6 billion and they are getting am executor of my 93 year old Korean War Veteran whats left, under $2K. The brother will get nothing. To repeat, the above is regarding my earlier post from July '23 about my brother in law who passed away in May 2023. He has abt $2K in his Estate Acct and an over $6K credit card debt and no assets. I assumed Executorship of his estate ecause his only surviving relative is an 87 year Vetern old brother who lives only on Soc. Sec. He has been without air conditioning this summer. Because of his lack of incmome we offered to get him a 5K BTU window unit for at least minimal cooling. He thanked us for the offer but said no because he can't afford the cost of electricity. Although he always paid the credit card amount due monthly, he may not have been aware that his brother would receive nothing. Our brother in law, out of the necessity, must have used the AARP card but we believe always in good faith. He was a USMC Veteran, lifelong patriot and a pleasure to us to live with us till his end. It is comforting to know that our brother in law, a father to my wife, never learned of this outcome and died thinking that his brother would receive the money from his account most of which was from the sale of his 2003 Buick.

I have contacted AARP 3 times about their decision to insert ads for their own benefits in the middle to timed games. When they interrupt the game, its score becomes worthless. I have suggested they change their advertising to before or after the game. All I ever get is "we will pass it along." Evidently customer feedback has no value.

AARP has always touted their support and benefits for seniors. I guess I don't see that. I switched my car insurance to AARP Hartford because it was a better rate. Before I switched, I had a discussion with an agent who indicated their rates were stable and in fact one year had a decrease. Being told they had a decrease should have been a clue something was not quite right. I did make the switch and like any other insurance company every six month renewal was an increase in the policy rate. AARP's name on a product means nothing and there is apparently no reviews of a company to see that they are actually providing a lower cost product to seniors. I have also found that AARP travel is not the best deal. You can get better rates from other online providers. Looks t me that AARP is getting paid to have their name associated with a company and they are no longer an organization out to support and provide benefits to seniors. SHAME ON YOU !!!!!

DO NOT, DO NOT, DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE - CONTACT A NATIONAL VAN LINE SUCH AS UNITED, MAYFLOWER, ALLIED, NORTH-AMERICAN OR ATLAS. THOSE COMPANIES ARE CARRIERS THAT OWN THEIR TRUCKS AND HAVE OFFICE FROM COAST TO COAST

Just read the reviews. All true. I only csme here cause these guys keep spammjng my email, even after being blocked. Clearly there marketing department is just as outdated as the rest of this company.
