So yesterday I was charged around 88.00€ for the app. 1 - I tried the free trial, i cancelled the subscription even before the trial ended. 2 - at APP store there's any information about this charge. 3 - Is impossible to restore the purchase through the app, since they say there's any subscription. Solution: Put the money back in my account, otherwise i have 0.17€ until the end of the month!

Very disappointed and ticked off. Friday I emailed support asking to have JUST the auto renewal cancelled after recently subscribing for a year. Got an email back promptly and told me all was done and renewal will not happen. Saturday morning, I get up to work out and lo and behold it tells me I need to subscribe in order to use the app that I just paid a year subscription for. Emailed Aaptiv THREE TIMES asking for help with this. I have yet to hear anything at all. Nothing.

I signed up over two years ago with my debit card. I've asked them to cancel four separate times and they continue to bill me monthly. I'm having to cancel my debit card just so I can get them to stop billing me. They refuse to acknowledge that are billing me, even though I have Aaptiv listed on my statement. Extremely shady business practices! Do not sign up through their site if you ever plan on canceling.

DO NOT DOWNLOAD. I am absolutely livid, fuming. I checked my bank account to see this app charged me $99 today. I opened this app once, the day I downloaded it. They are incredibly misleading about their charges & don’t outwardly state their cancellation policy. I would NEVER pay $99 for any app EVER!! I’m a recent college grad who needs this money for actual bills! Please answer me and please refund my money and cancel and delete my account. I will never use this again. EDIT: Regarding your reply, yep I’ve emailed you twice to that email with no reply

unable to cancel online.. you have to send an email. They are just another gym membership.. they are probably unable to keep you based on the quality of their product so they resort to these cancellation tactics

I sent an email to this company asking that they cancel my membership way before the billing date. I also asked that they verify it was cancelled. Neither of these things were done and now I am out $100.

Hi Joliene - I've looked into this and I see your original note to Aaptiv Support on August 20th at 8:18pm. We responded to you the next day (August 21) at 12:28pm. Our response let you know that since you signed up for Aaptiv through the App Store, you must cancel your subscription through your iPhone Settings. While we cannot do this due to security restrictions from Apple, we did provide you with thorough instructions on how to do it. If you did not receive this note, please check your spam because I assure you we did respond in a timely manner - we value every member and take any member requests seriously.

The number of available classes doesn't offset the fact that they refuse to prove their trainers are certified. There are no written profiles and the trainers' full names are not given so crosschecking them is impossible. The only way they can rectify this is to put the trainers' certifications out in the open; their 30-second video intros don't do enough to convince you that they're actually competent. Don't bother with this scam; go with Grokker or Skimble instead where trainer credentials are given straight up for easy verification.

Hi David - I see you reached out to Aaptiv Support around the certification of Aaptiv trainers and our team member Jaz let you know that all of our trainers are certified, and if you had any questions or would like to know the specific certifications, we would be happy to provide you with that information. Every Aaptiv trainer is certified—most of them touting a multitude of certifications. When you go into the Aaptiv app or the trainers page on Aaptiv.com, you can click on the videos from each of the trainers to learn each of their certifications – from them directly! For example, Aaptiv Trainer Jaime McFaden is an NASM Certified Personal Trainer and ACE Health Coach. I hope this helps and if you have any other questions, please reach out to us again.
