The website says that products are in stock and will ship within a few days. This is misleading, and potentially false advertising. After paying thousands for a light fixture order, I was told my order would now be delayed 45-90 days. That never had the product in stock. They were just drop shipping from some random manufacturer. Stay away.

I have been waiting months for 2 lights to ship, with the date changing multiple times. When I reached out on most recent shipping date, they now pushed it from August to October. When I explained how frustrating this was because our house is near completion and we need these for our home, the chat was just ended - the representative left. Won't ever buy from here again. Terrible customer service.

We ordered a light fixture from Capitol Lighting through an area dealer. When the light fixture arrived, we determined that it was not appropriate for our space. We were advised by the dealer that we could not return the light fixture, even if we paid shipping and restocking fees. We paid $595 for the fixture and are now out this money with no recourse.

This site is a scam ,typical bait and switch. Said they had open box product in stock gave me the runaround for over a week refunded me my money and never called me to explain what happened. Then they decided to email me saying that I can have 25% off a new one, which was nowhere close to the open box price. Luckily I got my money back because this site is not real.

Ordered several basic lights from this vendor with 3 weeks before having electrician scheduled. Got 2 updates with 'estimated' shipping dates delayed. Called the vendor only to have them tell me that they are a 'middle-man' and the actual manufacturer was out of stock. They told me I should order something 'similar' or wait 12-16 weeks! I was able to get them to agree to a full refund but now I'm back to square 1 with this project.

Called the Palm Beach Gardens location to order a replacement capacitor for my Minka ceiling fan, since Capital Lighting is an authorized dealer and I have a great experience working with Chris Surrena from that store purchasing over $7000 of lighting. I was told Chris no longer works there and they won't order Minka parts unless I had purchased that fan from them. I questioned their policy since Minka had told me to contact any authorized dealer. I was then transferred, disconnected twice, and on my third attempt sent to voicemail. This was handled so poorly. Maybe after getting the price for the replacement part, I could have decided to buy a new fan and two others so all my fans would match. Needless to say they won't get another dollar from me or any more referrals. I called Minka back who couldn't understand how I was treated and for customer service sent me the part for free. I will certainly buy Minka again, but not from this store.

Purchased a light from them ordered in September. Told would be here in Oct. now November. We ordered a ton of lighting for our new house. $20,000 order. It was delivered over the period of a few weeks. Installation has gone on as the house is being finished which took a couple of months. We realize we have 4 extra fixtures (unopened boxes) that we don't need (ordered 20 but needed 16). This is an item that is common and one they still sell (at a higher price than i paid!) I contacted them about a return and was told it was outside the return window. I asked to reconsider and they said it was just the policy. I asked a third time and was told again it was policy. For a company that sells other companies' products available via many other channels, customer experience is the differentiator. And it made the difference for me - I will never do business with them again. Cold. Transactional. No empathy. And my many friends who will be purchasing lighting in the near future? They will also not be using this company.
