Extremely deceptive pricing. The API I signed up for provided no functionality but wanted to charge me $250. Zyla labs as the marketplace did nothing to help.

Hi Balan,
We’re truly sorry about your experience and appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback.
Our plans include a 7-day free trial. If the subscription is not cancelled during that period, a charge is attempted after the trial ends, as stated in our terms. In your case, we decided to void the invoice so no charge would go through.
We apologize that our support response was not clearer at the time, and we hope this helps clarify what happened.
Kind regards,

I do not recommend this service.
Don’t use this service. I have used their domain-related APIs, and they simply take an API and list it under different names. Their database is outdated and not refreshed regularly, so you won’t get any data for new domains. And if you do, the data is often incorrect. Personally, I do not recommend this service.

Thank you for your feedback. We are an API Hub, and the APIs listed on our platform are provided by different API providers. Regarding your concern about similar APIs, it’s a common practice among our providers to list the same API under various names to better match search queries and improve discoverability.
We weren’t able to find any specific complaint related to your experience, and we couldn't pinpoint which exact API you’re referring to. If this issue has affected you, we would really appreciate more details on how it has impacted your experience. If you’d like, please reach out, and we’ll be happy to investigate further and assist you with any problems you’ve encountered.
Thanks again for bringing this up, and we look forward to resolving it for you.

Let’s get real for a second
Let’s get real for a second. You thought you were getting a great deal with those API trials, right? You paid for one, but the service was a total flop. So, you did the smart thing and deleted your accounts before the next billing cycle hit. But hold on—despite your efforts, they still managed to charge you again. And guess what? A month later, they’re at it again, trying to squeeze you for that subscription fee. No refund, no cancellation, just crickets.
Here’s a pro tip: don’t waste your time with this company. There are plenty of others out there that actually deliver the goods and won’t rip you off. Seriously, do yourself a favour and steer clear.

Hi Mr. Kokalera,
I'm truly sorry to hear that your experience with our API Hub left a bad impression.
When you subscribe to an API with a 7-Day Free Trial, the subscription will automatically renew on the 7th day unless it is canceled before the trial ends. This works the same way as on most platforms that offer free trials. In your case, the subscription was not canceled in time through the website, and the system proceeded with the billing as expected.
When you reached out a few months later, informing us that the subscription was still being charged, we explained the cancellation process and even offered a refund for the last billed month. Unfortunately, we did not receive a response, which led to another charge.
We believe this review is somewhat unfair, considering that all terms are clearly stated on the website and that we made every effort from our Customer Success team to help resolve the issue. However, we didn’t receive any further cooperation from your side.
If there’s anything we can still do to help, please let us know — we’re here to assist you.
Best regards,
Rodrigo from Zyla

Total scam that charges you even if you…
Total scam that charges you even if you try to cancel the "trial" they will be shut down soon through lawsuits. Just read the other 1 star reviews and never put your card in. We're issuing a chargeback now
Response from Zyla API HubApr 23, 2025
Hello Fred,
At Zyla API Hub, transparency is one of our top priorities. All APIs that offer a 7-Day Free Trial clearly state that the subscription will automatically begin on the seventh day unless canceled before the trial period ends. This information is outlined both on our website and in our Terms of Service, and it’s a standard practice across many platforms.
We’ve tried to locate you as a customer in our platform to offer you a credit, but we were unable to find your account. We encourage you to reach out to our Customer Support team, and we’d be happy to review your case. We are here to assist you.
All the best,
Rodrigo from Zyla API Hub

Charged for something I didn't buy
Just checked my credit card and have had a charge for 49.99 dollars. Never have ever asked for any of the services I live in UK and am puzzled to see this charge. Will contact my bank tomorrow to find out more.

Hi,
We're sorry to hear about this situation and truly understand your concern. Please note that most of our APIs include a 7-day free trial, which may renew automatically if not canceled in time. We understand this can be overlooked.
We would have loved the chance to assist you directly through our support team and help resolve this as soon as possible. We review each case individually, and if a refund is applicable, we’re more than happy to process it.
Best regards,

Low quality results, predatory billing practices
As mentioned by other commenters, I was charged after canceling my trial subscription. Support claimed it was not canceled and would not refund the payment. I canceled because the API results were very low quality.

ABA Bank Routing Number API
Zyla Labs may have a lot of APIs, but their business practices are unprofessional and unethical.
A year ago I purchased a 1-year subscription to an ABA Routing number API. Bad on me for not doing more research, but their data was very outdated. I emailed asking when their data would be updated and they never replied. My lack of research makes losing my initial subscription fee my fault.
I found another much more accurate API and abandoned the Zyla Lab API. The next time Zyla Labs contacted me was a single email with both an invoice for renewal and a receipt for charging me for another year’s subscription. Within hours I asked them to cancel my subscription and refund my money. They responded stating they could not issue a refund because "Those are the terms and conditions you accepted when you created an account with us".
Charging in this manner seems very unethical to me. Had they sent their renewal invoice a day, week, or month in advance (like most ethical companies who automatically renew subscriptions), I would have unsubscribed prior to the renewal.
If you have alternatives for using another API provider, I recommend steering away from Zyla Labs. Their business practices and policies do not have your best interests at heart.

Unethical Business Practices
I had been a client for many years. The function was no longer needed for my business website. I chose to cancel my one year subscription on the same day it renewed. I was charged $399. Although I chose to cancel the same day it renewed I was told they could not refund me any portion of the money. I was paying one year in advance and was canceling on the renew date. Very unprofessional that a company would charge you for services not used or rendered. I would not recommend them based these practices.
