Extremely concerning experience
I ordered a queen quilted bedspread set from Zumbamboo on August 21, 2026 and was charged approximately $200. On August 27, I requested that the order be cancelled and refunded because the item had not shipped and I had become concerned after reading numerous recent customer reviews reporting very long delivery times and concerns about product quality. I gave Zumbamboo several days to process my cancellation, but the order was not cancelled and I did not receive a refund. On August 31, I disputed the charge with my Visa card. Only after I filed the credit-card dispute did I receive an email from Zumbamboo stating that my order was in the "final processing step" and that the item was custom made rather than pulled from pre-made inventory. That explanation was concerning to me because I had already requested cancellation several days earlier and had not received clear information that my item was being custom manufactured. I also became concerned about the company's review practices. Zumbamboo displays very large review numbers on many different bedding products, while its website indicates that reviews may be grouped among related products rather than being reviews specifically for the individual product being viewed. I have retained my order confirmation, cancellation request, correspondence, product advertisement, customer-review screenshots, and the email received after filing my credit-card dispute. I have also filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission regarding my concerns. I cannot recommend Zumbamboo based on my experience. I would encourage anyone considering an order to research independent customer reviews carefully and understand the company's cancellation and fulfillment policies before purchasing.

We’re truly sorry for the frustration and concern this situation has caused. We’d like to clarify and support you properly: Your order is custom-made, which means it goes into production shortly after being placed. Because of this, cancellation is only possible within a limited window before production begins. It appears your request came when the order had already entered processing, which is why it wasn’t canceled in time. We sincerely apologize if this was not communicated clearly earlier we understand how that can feel misleading. Regarding the delay, quilted bedding sets require additional production time, and we regret that the timeline did not meet your expectations. Once a payment dispute is opened, the order is automatically paused by the system. We’re unable to proceed with shipping or refunds directly until the dispute is resolved. We genuinely want to resolve this for you. Could you please share your order number so we can review your case in detail and offer the best possible solution?
