NO REAL EAR MEASUREMENTS. Hearing aids weren’t even close to dialed in upon receiving them. Next appointment was over a month out. Severely disappointed in this company. The only PLUS is they were inexpensive. BUT afterwards the service was god awful.

Zip needs to do better vetting their providers
The problem I had was that my local audiologists they have are not very good. They advertise that 95% of people have a ZipHearing provider within just 9 miles. I live in Southern NH, a suburb of Boston, yet their closest local provider was 45 minutes(30 miles) away. There were 2 other providers but both had terrible reviews.
I did go to the closest provider and he had pretty good reviews. It took about 2 weeks to get an appointment. I knew which HA’s I was interested in ( Phonak sphere 90’s). I had a complete hearing assessment from a local hospital which was only 6 months old so I brought a copy with me to the appointment.
I gave the audiogram to the provider. He didn’t do any hearing testing at all or ask my about my hearing difficulties. He called Zip and ordered the HAs and I needed custom ear molds so he prepared the molds which he sent to Phonak to be made.
I got a call in 4 weeks that everything was in. Arrived at his office while he set up the hearing aids. I asked him to set up some custom programs for me. I was there for about 1/2 an hour. At that point, he complained that the HAs were too complicated for him and said he was sending them back to Zip because he couldn’t work with them. I walked out without the new HAs.
While Zip was very professional and refunded the purchase price in full, the entire experience was a complete waste of time. The problem I realized was that Zip doesn’t vet their providers very well. The new HAs are very sophisticated yet the Zip provider I went to didn’t educate himself on the newer technologies.
Do your homework and make sure the provider you select is educated and up to date on the technology. I learned that while the HAs are important, without a good audiologist, you won’t be hearing as well as you could be. The after service is more important than I realized. I’m going to go to a qualified audiologist and pay full price to get what I need. When it comes to your hearing, don’t short change yourself.

Zip Hearing fine, local provider not so much.
The Zip Hearing representative, Derrick, was responsive and helpful. He was very helpful and successful in submitting my insurance claim. However, accessibility/follow-up service at the local provider I was directed to in Little Rock, AR was not good. The audiologist was very pleasant, and the receptionist well-meaning, but their hours of operation in my home location are pretty limited, 2-3 days/week. They were closed several days for "conferences" when I needed help. I had multiple problems with my initial set of Starkey hearing aids, mostly centered around not charging. No "loaners" available. Had to send them off for 10 days for "repair". Ended up with a new set. On those, the ear loop retainers were installed BACKWARDS, which neither the provider or I noticed when I picked them up in a new charger (didn't try them on as I was in a rush). When I recognized this, I tried to contact the local provider, but they were not in the office the rest of that week, and at another conference the next week. Zip Hearing text informed me that the provider would contact me for an appointment as soon as they returned to the office. That didn't happen. I finally sought help from another hearing center that I have used in the past. They are also a Starkey dealer, and graciously switched out the reversed ear loop, then helped me fit the proper size earpieces. All at no charge. I hope not to have to deal with Zip Hearing's local provider again.

Zip Hearing does deliver a product at…
Zip Hearing does deliver a product at somewhat significant savings, where they fall short is accountability and customer service. I am a senior citizen and money is very important. I had Zip pre-certify my insurance AND provide a local audiologist...long story short is they provided a "out of network" provider that I lost approximately $2500 in benefits. When I tried to discuss "The Who's and Why's" they immediately and completely shut me down and referred me to their lawyer. Soooo disappointed!!!!
Zip's response is very "short sided" as I NEVER threatened legal counsel only counsel such as past Hearing Aid providers and insurance specialists. A good CEO/ Manager does NOT rely solely on past reviews and are generally open minded enough to know that there is that "one time" that they fell short of expectations.
