I contacted Zillow yesterday. It give me a number to contact agent about an apartment in James Island. Jane Oleary is her name. When my wife called her, she was incredibly rude. Resisted direct answers to a couple questions we asked. One question about a particular, location . Jane told my wife this rental was in a building !!! How arrogant can a person be. Was she drunk ? I've talked to alot of business people in my life. This was the worst experience EVER !!! If Zillow has employees like this, STAY AWAY FROM ZILLOW !!!!!!!!

Concerning Experience - Zillow
I would caution anyone looking to do business with Zillow. We had incorrectly assumed that being one of the most recognizable names in the industry, our refinance experience would be professional and streamlined. Unfortunately, this was not the case. Not only were the emails riddled with typos and errors, but we were encouraged to sign documents with incorrect information on them, including my name and address. We were sent a congratulatory email meant for another client and my confidential credit information was sent to my business partner's address, in an entirely different state. When our appraisal came in low-- with errors, missing information, and a comp from over 2 years ago-- Zillow provided no feedback from the appraisal management company, for whom they stated they would submit our appeal. While the supervisor I spoke with was really nice, the fact that Zillow couldn't refund the money we spent doing business with them after such poor data management and a gross waste of time was really disheartening. Had I known how my data would be mishandled and that I couldn't trust that they actually followed up on the appeal, I wouldn't have done business with them in the first place. Not only did we lose out on the money that we spent during the process, but also the money we didn't save during the time we had to find another lender. We did end up moving forward with a new lender and had an excellent experience elsewhere, but it doesn't change the fact that the experience with Zillow was far less than stellar. I understand mistakes happen in business and had they communicated better regarding the data errors, made us whole so we could move on, offered to work with the appraisal management company to answer more of our questions, or worked to advocate for us as clients, I don't think I'd be as motivated to ensure others are aware of our experience. I can't recommend them to anyone, no part of this experience was redeeming.

The customer service at Zillow is NOT…
The customer service at Zillow is NOT up to par with the rest of the industry and or any other similar industries. There is literally no way for me as a consumer to engage with their support staff (outside of submitting blackhole requests) which they close out with no explanation as to what was fixed and or why. I am left waiting for a listing to get posted with zero information as to why it is not there, or any sort of expectation as to when it will make it onto their site. I have filled out four requests through their Zendesk platform of which zero have gotten responses and two were closed without resolution. Its been six days since I initially submitted my FSBO listing.

I am a landlord listing properties for…
I am a landlord listing properties for rent. I have had multiple issues. I have submitted multiple tickets, left multiple voicemails and gotten NO RESPONSE.
I am paying $9.99 a WEEK to list my properties and I cannot get any help. The message tool will give me an error saying "This message did not send. Click here to try again." I will continue to try and it doesn't work.
If you find a number online to call Zillow (specifically 206-470-7000), the line makes it IMPOSSIBLE for you to get in contact with anyone. It only allows you to leave a voicemail or refers you to the help website (which is zero help at all).
I will no longer be listing my properties here.

No one ever responds or helps
Well reading the reviews is not surprising. I have sent 10 emails, left messages....pretty much everything, Not one person has helped me get my property listed for sale. It wont activate and it says it takes up to 72 hours.....its been 6 days. Just waiting for some help and there is none.

The worst customer service I have had…
The worst customer service I have had in a long time (*actually non-existent). Placed/completed a FSBO (for sale by owner) Ad for our home and after pressing submit I receive a msg. that it may take upto 72 hrs. To show up “active”. Well that was 1 week ago today and our home is still showing “off market”. I emailed Zillow customer service and received an automated msg. stating they rec’vd my msg. and is being reviewed by support staff. That was days ago. I have not heard from anyone. I have also called and left a voicemail and msg. states someone will be in touch. Again have not heard from anyone. Just very, very poor customer service.

FRAUDULENT LISTINGS
I created a posting for my apartments. Upon my first review, I found all kinds of additions to my listing that were completely not true. Next, I received an email from a perspective tenant, telling me the phone number on my ad was INVALID!!!! I have been advertising for 2 months with an INVALID PHONE NUMBER???? I just went to my ad again, and found that NONE OF THE INFORMAYION ON MY POSTING WAS DISPLAYED NONE!!! I have sent them $140 to date ads that are not what I created. There is something terrible wrong here. Zillow needs to be investigated for fraud.

Zillow took rent money out of my account, but didn't give it to my landlord
My landlord asked me to set up payment through Zillow so I set up an account and authorized them to take my rent on the first of the month. First off, they did debit my account, but it turns out that they had some kind of issue on the landlord side and ended up canceling the transaction. Here's the thing though, they KEPT MY MONEY. My rent isn't paid, it is now the 12th of the month and Zillow says that they cannot refund my money, that I have to go to my bank and have the bank dispute the debit from my account. The bank says that it now takes 10 business days to resolve the dispute [which is not guaranteed to go my way]. So...to sum up. Zillow debited the money for my rent, did not pay my rent [Zillow very well could have resolved issues with my landlord prior to debiting my account as I set it up with plenty of time for them to do so], and now says via email that there is nothing they can do. Has anyone else had this issue? Zillow will have my rent money for at least 3 weeks before I know whether or not I will get it back. On top of everything Zillow makes it near impossible to speak with a human being about the issue. Zillow is this what customer service has come to? And is it really Zillow's business model to hold money instead of completing my rent transaction? Life is hard enough these days. Zillow...please send me back what is rightfully mine and in the meantime send me a phone number so I can speak to a person about this and get it resolved.
