I attempted to sign up for Zillow's application program where they will do background checks etc, and file the application for you. Before the setup was complete they took the $29 from my account. And lo and behold, I was unable to complete the setup process. I emailed them asking for them to either fix the problem or reimburse me, and no one ever contacted me about it at all. I guess I'm out money now, but I will be filing this with my bank. It has to be fraudulent to collect money for a service that was never received.

Run like hell, most of their listing are ripe with fraud.

Zillow is quick to respond when a person shows interest in a home. However, almost every agent they refer doesn’t follow up after the initial call. When you get an agent that makes an effort they almost always have no experience and no support staff to help them. Use another home app if you need a home within a timeframe. If you aren’t in a rush, I guess they may be ok. But keep in mind you may be competing with Zillow for houses now!! They are actually purchasing homes here in GA and I was bidding on a house and found out they were as well!! That was it for me. I don’t know how that’s even ethical. But right now nothing is in real estate. Everyone is trying to make $$ and I even know of an agent that bought two of his own listings.

Apparently my experience is not unique. I have twice tried to post a negative review of the agent (I DID follow Zillow guidelines).

They won’t take a critical review or an agent — only positive reviews meet their policy standards. Zillow is notoriously full of inaccurate data and often updates incorrectly (with price and property status changes, for example). Sometimes it shows properties that appear to be for sale, but are not. It also won't show “coming soon” listings in most cases

Absolute absurd. How does a house have a zestimate of $500,000 then a month later move to $750,000 and another month later drops to $350,000? Pathetic BS is Zillow all the way.

Zillow has suddenly began sending me messages with my name saying, "Yasmin, Here are some places we think you'd like to call Home". I already have a Home. A Nice Home. Zillow suddenly began sending me 100% absolutely horrible BASEMENT apartments. No place I would or ever have lived in. Not ever. This is Zillow and some very CRUEL Zillow Techie Targeting and sending me horrible images. These are places I don't even drive my car down those streets in violent crime infested decrepit neighborhoods. I will never use or recommend Zillow.

Zillow had my personal info posted on the site, it shows my name and address, images of the place I bought and the price for which I bought it. I have a huge issue with that, so I asked (via email) to have my info removed and explained that its for a safety concern as well as privacy concern. The response I got was some guy saying they have the right to post information since it is "public information" so therefore they will not be removing anything regardless of my request.... It shouldn't be public, nor do I want it to be public obviously! That's why I'm requesting for this to be removed. Zillow is THE ONLY website that refused to remove my personal info after my request. That's a huge problem especially when a person is reaching out directly to ask for this info to be removed. I used to like this website but now after this situation I truly have no respect for this unethical business. Guys, I can only suggest you report them to BBB if your in the same situation as me because some things in this world really do need to stay private unless YOU say otherwise and companies need to respect that.
