ZillowReviews of zillow.com

We were moving back to Florida due to family matters. We needed to by a home over the internet. Our local real estate agent in Florida saved us from a total disaster, but we ended up buying a Zillow home. They did a good job staging the home. But WOW were looks deceiving. The entire inside of the home was painted with oil based paint, with overspray and drips everywhere. They sprayed/painted over everything. Light switches, plugs, ceiling fan blades... All of the appliances had to be replaced (including a code violation with the stove). The flooring is a joke and already coming up. This house is becoming our home, but I am glad I am a skilled DIY'er. They announced a few months after we purchased the home, they will not refurbish houses anymore. I hope they never do again, as buyer be-screwed...

Zillow is a joke to me because we not only submitted application fees to zilllow individually but every place we looked at wanted an additional application fee for their paperwork. When you trying to move the last thing you needs is double triple and quadruple application fees.Half of the places we were interested in never even contacted us back a waste of my time. Zillow is a joke to me because we not…

First, the descriptions compared to same property, different site, are sorely wanting overall. I would give them a 1 star, but I can say one positive thing. Their bot, “Alex”, is prompt at responding. If only the same could be said of the agents. Whether you contact them directly or wait in vain for them to call you after Alex says they will, they are less than helpful (with ONE notable exception). Either no response, terse replies or “i do not have that information”. Brokers need to put new agents on ‘low commission duty’ to pay their dues. Full disclosure I’m a cash buyer, but not spending a lot of money, so I would not expect them to put out a lot of effort by showing up at rural properties. But I do expect them to be able to answer questions about whether it’s landlocked, if there are CCRs and similar. This week, I was told an agent would be calling me. I waited my usual 3 days and texted her. The full response: “Good afternoon I’m not sure why you would be given my info for a property in Texas as I only work in Tucson AZ. Paula” I don’t know either Paula—have a nice day. There was a single agent who went the extra mile. He went to an S us property, took video, sent it to me with the name of a money lender specializing in rehabs, but said it was not, in his opinion, something I should tackle with limited funds. He was a keeper. Unfortunately only specializes in one geographical area. I think I’m done with Zillow.

When using trying to search for properties on Zillow for purchase (not rent), I wanted to filter the property type only to townhouses and single-family homes. It constantly provides me with condos and apartments in search results. I contacted them twice about this for help on better filtering with no response either time. I just don't use them anymore, and will not put my properties on Zillow for this reason.

I advertised my condo for rent on Zillow rental manager and found it easy to use. All correspondence with potential renters went through their App. The only major problem with them is with their payment system where the renter pays the landlord. They say it takes 3-5 Business days to get the payment but it always takes 7-9 days to get my payment. They say Banks don’t work on Sat or Sundays. This is the 21st Century people and computers do not sleep on the weekends. Use PayPal, it is 110% easier to use and you get your money within 24 hours. Take a clue from PayPal Zillow and you will get 5 stars from me.

Not a fan. My listing gets buried underneath hundreds of others and I barely receive any call backs. I've reduced the price twice now.

Totally inaccurate information The information is never updated and never current. I never rely on Zillow when looking for a home.
