ZillowReviews of zillow.com

The website is broken. I've been sent in circles trying to verify my account and the link takes me to their home page every time! There is absolutely no support available except for a 90's bot that does absolutely nothing. A disgrace!

They direct inquiries into your listing to other properties! I recently tested what happens when I inquire into my property for rent listing . Much to my surprise my email was flooded with links to other properties advertised on hotpads. Thats correct! So you advertise a property, for a fee and zillow directs the inquiring party to other properties.. This seems like a violation of trust and a fiduciary duty. Why advertise my property on a website that push feeds other properties to someone who inquires into mine. Zillow should be sued and then disbanded into pieces.

They should be sued. Their is an implied contract of service when you enter into an agreement to market your rental. At the very least the software of the provider should work in a reasonable fashion.. Good luck with the zillow.. The rental management software is full of bugs. Like others I have found myself with missing scrollbars, replies that are full of garbage computer code, and other problems leaving me unable unable to communicate with tenant applicants in a reasonable and timely fashion. This costs me a landlord time and money.. How about loosing a month of rent because the software I rely on doesn't work right?. How about hours trying to find work arounds when I cannot respond to an inquiry?. How about hours going back and forth with their customer support staff? How about the frustration of wasting my time when I have a busy schedule?. Oh, and I paid for the 'premium service'.. Their customer support makes up excuses and suggests work arounds. Clear your cache to make the software work they say.. Try using your email spam folder... Change our email settings.. Once they told me it was my router.. They have acquired most of their competition and have obtained a dominant position in the marketplace..There are not a lot of alternatives. As consumers we need to be protected so that when a company obtains a monopoly position, the service that they provide must be reliable. Clearly, their interest of zillow is in generating revenue vs quality of their product. As a former software pro, I know how important rolling out updates without disruption is. I also know that this is possible with the right amount of effort.. I don't see other web sites changing their screens and having them suddenly become non-functional... Somehow these guys miss the boat or just don't care.. There should be a class action against zillow for all the landlords who have lost time and money due to their inept software operations at zillow.

Zillow Customer service is a freaking joke! I reported a data integrity issue with my home's data and user capabilities in August 2023 and repeatedly since. Each time, Zillow closes it out with 'Not enough data for algorithm'. I can understand an algorithm not having enough data to generate a Zestimate (garbage in, garbage out), but all data related to my home since 2020 (saved searches, Comparable homes, Recent Sales, etc) has disappeared. That's 3 years of data. The only data that's current is the 2022 tax assessment and listing that was pulled in 2022. I have a REALLY HARD TIME accepting the fact that my home is the ONLY HOME in a neighborhood of 500+ similar type homes and an area of 2500+ homes in the same price range that is experiencing this problem. I've literally checked every home in the subdivision and surrounding neighborhoods and my home is the ONLY ONE with this issue? There's no way! I'm tired of the back and forth and the canned responses. No one appears to want to investigate the problem which is very concerning and disappointing. There's an obvious data integrity problem with my account. They hide behind 'Not enough data for the algorithm' instead of even trying to investigate the problem. The whole company should be fired for incompetence. If you're a realter purchasing services from Zillow, beware!! Until they prove otherwise, I'd say all data with Zillow is suspect and should not be trusted.

Zillow is the perfect place for scamming businesses. You put an ad for rental, collect application+admin fees for $200 per person; then 10-12 people apply you get $2000 dollar and BOOM! your apartment becomes unavailable and you get the money in your pocket doing nothing and zillow encourages such business.

Zillow is the perfect place for these landlords to be racist and discriminate against renters for their race, gender and sexual orientation. You apply to these homes online, then you’re invited to see the home. Once these landlords know that you’re black you are not getting the property.

One star is too high!!!! Zillow has our home on their website and the address they show is wrong. Our realtor submitted several air tickets and Zillow has not corrected. I don’t want our home on their site if they’re going to have an incorrect address. Unacceptable to allow this type of error. I agree with another reviewer...they are very shady and inaccurate with their so-called 'Zestimates.' They change their value if you change price of your home and they are TOO LOW and hurt sellers by showing it under value because buyers fall for it.

I had a bad experience with Zillow. I applied to rent a house through the Zillow application. The Zillow application asks for your social security number, birth date, etc. and runs a credit check on you. It asks you to upload proof of your income and asks for lots of other information. I filled out the application which showed I had sold a piece of property and showed the income from that for this year, in addition to two other incomes. I had said in my application I want to sell my current home and rent. Zillow sent all of my information to a private party, a person renting their house, not a rental agency. The homeowner came back on me and told me to sell my house first and then give him an entire year's rent upfront. The listing was for month to month, I proved I had beyond the income needed to rent, my credit score came back at 817. So I reported to Zillow that the person refused to rent to me with verified income and that he told me to sell my home and pay him a year's rent upfront. All Zillow did is tell me they are keeping his ad to rent up and told me it is my fault if I give out my personal information. It is Zillow's program; I obviously did not personally give my information out to anyone. Zillow blamed me, when it is Zillow's rental form that I filled out and Zillow gave to the potential landlord. They should have asked the landlord why he changed the rent to one year's rent upfront. Also, this concerned me for potential id theft, so I put fraud alerts in with all 3 credit reporting agencies, and I told both Zillow and the landlord I did so.
