I don’t like the new applications being transferred to the real estate companies applications
I don’t like that Zillow had an application process where we only pay $30 and we could submit multiple applications and now I am running into the accepted through Zillow applications homes that are being linked to another application portal that cost over $100 and more those need to be removed and the accepted Zillow applications homes need to be separate because at that point it’s false advertisement click bait we like the $30 applications and now you guys are making it complicated by adding real estate companies on the apply instantly and it’s no longer applying instantly because there’s another route false advertising

Bad customer service
I scheduled a tour & was immediately asked how soon I was planning on buying. I responded that I am just looking. Nothing until the next day when I was told that I would need to contact the listing agent because the agent assigned had another appointment. Why offer the service if you are not able to fulfill it?

Houses not for sale
Zillow has listings of homes for sale. When you try and get info on them you have to go through a pre approval first but when you do a realtor will touch base about five days later and tell you your choice is either pending, under contract or no longer for sale. This happens over and over in the meantime your credit is taking inquiry hits over and over. It's a bate and switch constantly and that goes for all the other sites too out there. You receive phone calls from India first. What gives these sites permission to falsely list real estate that is in fact not for sale. It could be because if they put India as a line of contact then the initial laws of false advertising doesn't apply because the laws are different. Every other filter for real estate seems to operating in the same manor with flooded calls and emails from the loan companies. The best way to protect your sensitive information and prevent it from a breach or even your credit taking hit after hit would be always contact a local realtor to assist you in finding a new home. They have real time listings. Pick your home and do a physical tour first then apply for the loan. This protects you. Although some realtors are now in the practice of pre approvals first. Simply tell them no not until you have a home in mind first. If they insists stop business immediately with them. And never sign documents signs because it bonds you to them taking your freedom of choice away. If you are selling that still applies especially if you don't have a new home picked out. The good old fashioned way is the safest way to acquire your new home. Buying a new home should never be attempted by way of cyber space because when it comes down to it your wishes for a new home will go into cyber space as well

The communication between Zillow…
The communication between Zillow personnel and buyer were very poor at best. No replies to sent email communications, text messages etc. Very poor customer service overall. I will never use Zillow again for property purchasing transactions, ever.

FSBO listing waste of time
I created a FSBO listing that was published one day with an email notification, good, then removed the next day without any notification, unprofessional. I had already needed to create a case to get the listing creation site to work (Claiming the house was an issue). I've since created 2 separate cases, one with a direct email address, listingsupport at zillow.com, and one through the case site. Both have had zero response in over a week. I tried to relist and got their promise that said it was under review again for up to 72 hours but that was a week ago, well beyond their promised timeframe, still not published.

Zillow Rentals: A Masterclass in Incompetence and Indifference
If you value your time, your money, or your sanity, avoid Zillow Rentals at all costs. My experience with them was a trainwreck from start to finish — and they still haven’t taken responsibility.
Here’s what happened:
Zillow successfully withdrew my rent payments from my account for two consecutive months… and then failed to deliver the money to my landlord.
Their excuse? A mysterious “verification issue” that neither I nor my landlord ever needed in the first place. To this day, they have not explained what triggered it.
When pressed, Zillow’s “support” team sent me nothing but copy-paste policy jargon. Not a single direct answer to my questions. Just empty words designed to stall.
They actually told me they couldn’t refund money they had already taken unless my bank first confirmed they couldn’t do Zillow’s job for them. That’s not a process — that’s a scam with extra steps.
And when I tried to stop future payments using their own cancellation link? Surprise: the link didn’t even work. I emailed them demanding confirmation that future payments were terminated. Silence. No response.
This isn’t a rental service. It’s a black hole where your money disappears, your landlord is left stranded, and you’re handed excuses instead of solutions. There’s no phone support, no urgency, and zero accountability. Zillow Rentals handles people’s housing payments with less competence than a fast-food drive-thru.
I eventually disputed the charges with my bank, and thankfully they’re resolving it. But the fact that my bank — not Zillow — had to clean up Zillow’s mess tells you everything you need to know about this company.
Zillow Rentals has wasted my time, my landlord’s time, and has shown nothing but contempt for the people who trusted them. They are incompetent, unresponsive, and unworthy of handling something as critical as rent.
If you’re even thinking about using Zillow Rentals for payments: don’t. Run. Unless you enjoy being stonewalled, ignored, and robbed of both money and peace of mind, stay as far away as possible.

How do you offer 0 stars?
How do you offer 0 stars or maybe even a -1? Even if I wanted to do business with Zillow, they don't answer the phone, respond to emails, or provide any level of assistance. They will happily take your $ to offer you worthless leads but when there's any type of issue, there is zero - absolutely zero - support.
