Zager GuitarsReviews of zagerguitar.com

Yesterday I just received my ZAD 900 CE OM natural finish guitar from Zager. I couldn't be more pleased. This is a beautifully crafted instrument. Handsome detailing throughout. The playability rivals that of the Martins I've played before. The price is very affordable, a great deal. Seemingly much less than the craftsmanship would suggest. The accessory kit that came with the guitar is a big added bonus. The capo, picks, strings, all the extras complement the instrument. The hard shell guitar case is stylish and attractive.Very happy with your product Thank you Zager team, James R. ZAD80CE OM , There were some delivery issues which left me a little more critical than I should have been . However the response was immediate and professional. Being over critical and trying to find problems with the guitar , I found none . The fit , finish, playability and tone are as good or better than any guitar I have played in over 45 years. I have had this guitar for 2 weeks and it is settling in and improving in tone . Zager guitars wanted an honest review . This guitar is has inspired me to write my first review. If you are interested in an acoustic guitar, I would recommend trying a Zager . You will not be disappointed. Thank you for taking time to read this .

Great company owned by the great Denny Zager. He knows everything there is to know about guitars and so getting a guitar from a trusted musician like him is a no brainer. I plan on keeping my guitar for years to come because the build is so amazing. Thanks to the customer service team for being such a great help as well!

I received my ZAD-900 CEOM yesterday afternoon and once I started playing it I just couldn’t stop ! what a beautiful Guitar this is ! and the sound and playability just knocks me out. I played it last night for over three hours and the only thing that stopped me from playing was that it was turning to 3am ! This Guitar is also beautiful to look at and the finish and workmanship are just outstanding. This will be the last Acoustic Guitar I will ever buy and the sound will actually get better as the wood ages. Thanks so much to Denny Zager and the Zager Family for making such a wonderful instrument. Kindest regards always, John Kalament.

Zager guitars and their staff have been outstanding in all aspects of service and dependability. I have been performing for 40 years and my hands are plagued with arthritis. I gave up playing out in gigs as my guitar playing was suffering and painful for a 3 hour performance. I purchased a Zager 80 and later a 900 fishman aura acoustic guitar, The 80 series is a cedar top and has a warm mellow sound while the Zager 900 series was a bit tinnier at the beginning because of the new spruce wood. I had to wait a few weeks to realize the incredible sound that the 900 was producing.as it aged. There is no Guitar for the price. That comes close to workmanship, sound, and Overall playability that Dennis Zager has created.Dont take my word for it.I dare you to try one.I promise you their is little likelyhood you will send it back.

I bought a Zager 900ce and I’ve never been more satisfied with a guitar! Right out of the box, the tone surpassed my 40yr aged Fender (which I love). Aside from the phenomenal tone, the craftsmanship and playability are just outstanding. Aside from all this, Zager is a family business that takes their craft seriously. They run a business of integrity with outstanding customer service! Try Zager and you’ll be singing their praises in no time! -Chad L

4.9 495 reviews Ronald Radosh 1 review 2 minutes ago NEW I received my ZAD50 acoustic guitar, dreadnought size, last week. I used to play many decades ago, and have no more calluses so it's painful to push down the strings. I tried on my old Guild dreadnought guitar and was unable to do it, and of course, tuning it was next to impossible because of the tuning pegs they used. What a delight to get the new Zager. First, it's a beautiful instrument. The wood and the look is terrific--it's a substantial instrument. I was able to play it and start some of what it I used to play and had no problem pressing the strings. I had a friend over to play it, and I could hear what it sounds like when someone else was playing. As promised, the sound is great--crisp and clear. He couldn't believe how good it sounded. My son just got back from a two week vacation, and I can't wait to hear his reaction--(he is a good guitar picker and is in a band)-when he plays it. I'll let the wood settle in and then will make the action a bit lower, following the instructions provided. I highly recommend Mr. Zager's guitar. You can't go wrong in buying one. And oh, the case is simply a secure and excellent one that is impressive on its own. Ron R

I did a lot of research before I bought my ZAD900CE. Read about and considered just about everything out there, played everything on the wall at the Guitar Center multiple times, jammed with my buddy's Taylor, etc - all over the course of about a year. My goal was to find the best acoustic electric guitar I could for no more than 2K. I kept running into reviews about Zager, but I initially dismissed it after not being able to get my hands one to play. Anyway, about two months ago, after reading another glowing review and looking at the price points, I decided to go down the rabbit hole and see what I could find out. I read ever review, watched every YouTube video (some multiple times), and read the Zager website cover to cover. I must admit, their guitars started to fall into the 'too good to be true' category, especially after reading a couple of forums that were quite dubious of their claims...but most of the posters on those forums came across as snobby about their brand of choice, or just malcontents. Obviously, I decided to trust what my ears and eyes were digesting on the videos, and surely, I thought, that many positive reviews couldn't be created by some well thought out marketing scheme. So comforted by Zager's return policy, I bought my 900CE which came four hours ago. I'm putting it down long enough now to write this review. After tweaking the neck as instructed, and tuning it up on the Fishman Aura, I started to play it. It took me a while to get used to the string spacing, but after I did, I really put it through the paces, listening intently for buzzing strings and anything else that would raise a red flag. Nada, zero, zilch. The richness of the voicing, the volume, the sustain, the action...all beyond impressive. Honestly, even though my Strat's neck is just a tad narrower, it plays just as easy. Tomorrow I will do some recording and see if I am just on a honeymoon ride with this baby today, lol! Oh yeah, the craftsmanship. I'm a retired general contractor and cabinet maker. Absolutely beautiful, and no flaws or blemishes to be found. No buyer's remorse here- on the contrary. I'm elated. Cheers!
