If I could zero I would
If I could zero I would. I work for a 3PL dealing with thousands of LTL shipments daily. At this point I will not even offer YRC as an option. Total lack of customer service. Estimated transit is a joke. I always add a 2 day buffer when quoting transit. I need 2 week buffer for these guys. You will sit on hold for at least 30-45 mins if you try to call. Get info, call back get another person, WHOLE different response. Tried to work with customer service via email. NO idea what is happening. I had a shipment that needed to be returned to shipper. We called day of pick up to stop at origin terminal. It still got sent to destination. Called destination terminal, got it turned around. Sent LOA, got a response for return pro#. That was 14 days ago. Freight was moving 450 miles away. STILL not delivered. I finally reach someone and i am told, its a billing issue. We dont know who to bill because we never got an LOA. Not only did they get, and responded to it, but 4 days later I sent them another message confirming who to bill to. MOVE THE FREIGHT. After finally hopefully resolving, customer service emails me last night to advise the freight delivered...14 days before it even shipped. Now tell me how that can happen? Worst of call, the staff couldnt care less. It may be because every day for them is filled with complaints just like mine so they have just lost their empathy. Who knows. However, a good attitude and attempting to handle a customer's issue goes a long way. Who is managing these people? Dealing with 2 more issues just like this. Working for the size company I do, not quoting this carrier anymore, I hope it impacts the bottom line enough for them to make some changes. Until then, I'm done. I thought Central Transport was the worst in the business. YRC now holds that spot.
