Will Destroy your shipment and do all they can to avoid paying insurance! Do Not USE YRC!!! Shipped a used industrial vacuum with YRC. I told them I wanted insurance for $3,750. The MIDDLE 1/3 of the vacuum arrived at the destination 7 days late. No clue where the bottom AND top 1/3 of it ended up. They may not pay me anything or even reimburse the shipping cost because the receiver may not have noted the problem when it arrived. If they do pay, they have said their maximum reimbursement for used items is $0.50/LB!!!

I had my broker set up a shipment of 1 crate of glass coming form Canada to the United States. The company promised delivery by Monday from a Friday pick up. When they received the shipment the BOL had specific instructions to contact my broker for the paperwork and to get the information to process the shipment for entering into the US. They did not even look at the BOL until Saturday. Then proceeded to ask for the documents. They were given the document (Commercial Invoice) and still did not contact my broker with the information needed to enter the US. Ok so no I don't expect delivery on Monday as promised ok, I am flexible. Even thought they had all the items needed the shipment still did not cross the border until 6:01 am on Tuesday. Then when trying to get YRC to deliver asap like the next day I was told it would be an additional $2500 to have it delivered by Wed, ont op of the $500 I already paid for Delivery on Monday from a Friday Pick up. Yeah no was not going to pay you more money for something that should have already been delivered. So I talk to a manager in Customer service and she promises me we will get our shipment first thing Thursday morning, the warehouse is literally 30 minutes away!!! GUESS WHAT ITS 12:39PM ON THURSDAY AND I AM JUST NOW GETTING A SHIPMENT THAT WAS PROMISED TO BE DELIVERED BY MONDAY AT 12:00 PM. OH AND ON TOP OF THAT THE DRIVER WASN'T EVEN GOING TO UNLOAD THE SHIPMENT, CAUSE IT ONLY WEIGHTS 120 LBS!!!!!!!! DO NOT SHIP WITH THESE PEOPLE i HAVE NEVER EXPERIENCED SUCH HORRIBLE SHIPPING AND I'VE BEEN IN THE BUSINESS FOR OVER 30 YEARS!!!!!!!!

Do yourself a favor and get a quality freight company. They will quote a 4 hour time of arrival but if late they advise their business hours are 8 a.m. - 9 p.m. Honestly don't even bother asking questions at all because you are countered with rude and condescending responses (notice how I don't say answers). Their local Fort Myers dispatcher, Debbie, is the worst agent I have ever had the displeasure of speaking with. Not worth the headache.

We have used all the major freight shippers in the U.S. and YRC Freight has been the cheapest but we have never imagined the problems we could have with them when we started using them. Unbelievable unprofessional and inept service in every way. They once lost a shipment twice the size of a grand piano! Damaged most other shipments and lied about who would be actually carrying some shipments when in fact, they were re-selling the delivery to local hillbilly companies (not that they were any better). This company should not even be in business. Use ANYONE else but never use this company!

This company will steal your item, I shipped an item to my brother in new york and the only thing their New york terminal agent told me was they have information that my item was purchased with a stolen card, so I should send him a picture of my receipt to his personal number before, which i did but i never heard from him again.

Flagrant damage to an expensive shipment. Clearly marked on all sides "DO NOT DOUBLE STACK" There was a large hole where the forklift ran into the back, which was careless but only cosmetic. But just to make sure the destruction was complete - they double stacked and completely destroyed a $4000 packaging machine. It was the last one available in the US and we had it shipped from NJ for a large time sensitive project. Now we will be waiting for 4-6 weeks for a replacement unit to ship from Italy. Pick a quality shipping company and stay away from YRC.

I have been waiting for a shipment from Yellow Freight YRC Freight since 12/27/18. They brought the shipment to Nashville on that day and now is has been sitting there for 10 days. Each day the Freight Company - Yellow Freight postpones the shipment to the next business day.
