We had a great trip to Thailand, and to make it even better was our guided tour with Yampu. Our first experience was our pickup from the airport where our guide Tony was waiting. This made up feel very safe in a new area and Tony answered all of our questions as we drove us to our first hostel in Bangkok. Next we drove north in the most comfortable van I think I've ever been in, at times not wanting to leave the air conditioning to tour temples along the way! We visited many temples and Tony was most gracious guide explained in detail each as we visited them. We went to the monkey temple, an elephant orphanage and Yampu organized our connection to the ferry when we were ready to go to the islands. Overall it was a great experience and I couldn't be happier to have met Tony and the other Yampu associates. All were very kind, well dressed and even more our new friends!

My trip to Africa was perfect--despite the 9 flights involved, numerous tours set up in different countries by different tour agencies, and atypical ideas suggested by my companion and myself. All expected parties showed up, on time. All flight arrangements went smoothly. And no matter what the nature of our trip-design requests, our agent, Karolina, handled them with grace and professionalism. I would definitely choose Yampu again--for my NEXT "trip of a lifetime"!

There were some inconsistencies in what was in our itinerary and what was delivered on tour.

I am handicapped and Yampu was able to provide us with seamless door to door service at every individual destinaton all over 4 different countries in Africa for a total of 28 days. They never had the slightest misstep. Every lodging every meal and every transport was flawless.

From initial contact through to checking you got home safely, Yampu is second to none. I have travelled with them three times now across several countries (& continents!) & the personal itineraries they made for me were exemplary as were the guides & logistics. I highly recommend Yampu & will most definitely travel with them again.

Yampu was there every step of the way for us on our journey through Peru (which means when we got off any plane bus or train; checked out of a hotel, etc) and all their representatives were polite, friendly, happy and "no" was never an answer. The tour was pricey, however, you get what you pay for. I was very impressed with all our tour guides, their knowledge of everything we saw, how they introduced us to their culture, and how they handled every situation even when I got sick in Cuzco. I did not feel like I missed anything just had a different experience. Our guide for that day, doctors, nurses and clinic were caring and sympathy, and I received excellent care. Even the hotel employees were caring. Their choices of everything were top notch. (And I am picky!) I would highly recommend them to everyone.

I have always wanted to visit the Amazon. I finally took the step to fulfill my dream and I don't regret it! Rio was fun to see all the places I have herd about and learned about. Visiting was truly fun. However Manaus was paradise. I fell in love the moment I got off the plane. I literally cried when I had to leave and find myself dreaming about it daily.

Yampu was a joy to work with from the initial contact and trip planning through to the end of our amazing trip to Colombia. They are exceptionally responsive and accessible. My husband and I are experienced travelers (7 continents, 77 countries) and like to get off the beaten path at times. I do a good amount of research before booking a trip and have a lot of information to share about our preferences. Many travel agents don't seem to listen at all, or only partially, while I could tell that Yampu really listened right from the start and developed a private tour that matched our requirements exactly. It was a very close collaboration and our agent, Karolina, was exemplary in every respect. She also made very helpful suggestions to enhance our itinerary further, for example, letting us know that there would be a Carnaval in Barranquilla while we were in country and asking if we wanted to add it to our itinerary. Yes please!! That's exactly the level of service you want, make sure the customer gets what they want but also guide them if they've missed anything or if there might be a better alternative. In country our guides and drivers were top notch, on time and highly responsive, as were accommodations and tours. We suffered a flight delay that resulted in a missed connection on a route that is not well serviced. As soon as I suspected we might miss the connection I contacted Yampu and it was handled quickly and competently with regular status updates and a representative meeting us to handle the transfer to our new flight. We didn't have to sacrifice any of our planned activities. We couldn't have been happier with our trip or with Yampu. We can highly recommend them and plan to contact them again when we plan a trip to an area that they cover. I've already got some ideas.
