Purchased in 2022. Filed 2 claims. To date they've paid 0 out.
They just respond with a bunch of exclusions without properly reading the full claim or trying to help solve.
They clearly do not intend to pay out any claims but promised a high standard of service when I paid the full amount up front. Both claims were not even a significant amount nor do I abuse the coverage.
Would not recommend this company or service.

DONT PURCHASE
DONT PURCHASE! Fradulent. Customer service is aggregious. They will promise you total coverage and up charge you for zero deductible payment, but DENY EVERY CLAIM. Or, they will accept claim but pay less than 5% of what is owed. I purchased three separate claims for ten(10) year 180,000 mile coverage. THIS COMPANY IS HORRENDOUS. I am a board certified family physician US Army veteran. Any lawyer that wants to start a class action case against this company, please contact me. Any customer(s) that has been treated aggregiously like me, join me in starting a class action suit and lets shut this terrible company down. DO NOT PURCHASE!
Make the company send you a copy of the digital warranty guidelines. Do not take your vehicle to Tesla or file a claim until you research every possible issue that you may suspect could be wrong. No matter how minor or serious, or the utter insanity of the expense and time, have your vehicle towed to Tesla. Because you are not clairvoyant, nor can magically diagnosis issue, you will have to be creative and research as many possible issues you think could be cause. Meticulously review every line of Xcare warranty document. Then file complaint with Tesla using exact language. You should provide all warning lights, dates, and times, but note Cxare will dismiss these. VERY IMPORTANT VERY IMPORTANT. VERY IMPORTANT. Even though EV cars do not have any scheduled routine maintenance or evaluation, XCARE uses this as reason for denial and neglect. Strong suggestion, if you, like me, unfortunately purchased this warranty, take your vehicle to telsa every six months, despite this not being required and have them document for scheduled maintenance. Even with this, your claim will still be denied. But this way, when the CLASS Action suit is filed, you will have covered every basis to be able to recover your loss. DO JOT BELIEVE THAT THIS WARRANTY ALLOWS YOU PEACE OF MIND. The reason we purchased this warranty was to cover the very items that they will deny, and offensively hilariously ridiculously shift the blame on you as negligent. DO BOT BUY, DO BOT RECOMMEND, CHOOSE OTHER COMPANY.

Upon submission of the claim and Tesla's service estimate on 10/01/2026, the technical details were reviewed by our claims team and claims supervisors. The documentation indicated an initial leak originating in the Valve Block Assembly.
initial findings- " Repair Notes: Our diagnosis have determined that due to mechanical failure the air suspension valve block experienced a leak on September 22nd of 2026, which resulted in the failure of the air compressor, the vehicle was driven to the service center shortly after the alert appeared, based on the logs of the vehicle, there are no signs of air suspension failure or reports that the vehicle was below normal ride height prior to this date, the age and millage of the vehicle would increase theconsequential damage of the air leak in a short period of time. Due to the compressor failure and
the subsequent collapse of the air springs, the front air spring modules sustained damage. To restore the vehicle to proper working order, we recommend replacing the air compressor, the valve block, and the front air spring modules.'
Because the vehicle continued to be operated with an active air leak, the air compressor was required to continuously overwork to compensate for the loss of air pressure. This continuous operation led directly to the failure of both the compressor and the front air spring modules.
While the authorized portion of the repair covering the underlying failure ($762.00 after $0.00 deductible) was approved, the secondary damage to the compressor and air spring modules is non-covered per Section 9, Subsection O of the contract, which explicitly excludes damage resulting from continued operation after a leak or failure occurs.
On 10/01/2026, management directly communicated these findings to Dr. Jones via email and over the phone, explaining the mechanical sequence of failure and referencing the specific contract exclusions. Additionally, a full copy of the contract was attached and provided to Dr. Jones for his review.
Upon receiving updated notes and estimates from Dr. Jones and Tesla on 10/02/2026, our team immediately reviewed the updated cause of failure which was consistent with the initial repair notes. Denial remained but was once again rejected by the member.

Deducted past clams against unused prepaid premium on refund request
Purchased an extended warranty for my Model X, then cancelled it after I sold the car. Requested a refund for the unused prepaid premium, which was a little over $2K. They then deducted past claim amounts against the unused prepaid premium, so the net "refund" amount came to a little over $6. Asked the Rep shouldn't the claim amounts have been paid for by past paid premium, and not by the unused prepaid premium, and she said that's their policy. Basically they don't want to give any unused prepaid premium back so make sure you use up as much claim as you can before you cancel.

Our policy like most others is to offer pro-rata refunds less any time/miles that have elapsed through the term, minus any paid claims. Seems like XCare worked as intended for you.

It was actually terrible
It was actually terrible. Tesla does not actually have an agreement with your company. I had to pay out of pocket on several occasions only to have to get reimbursed at a later date. Then there’s Chris who supposedly worked for Tesla and has no idea what he is doing and who’s sole job is to find ways to deny claims for things that should be covered. For example, each time I had a claim I had to call the warranty company and get a rep on the phone to give a credit card to the service advisor because they expect payment at the time of service. It’s extremely inconvenient.

Hi Yuri,
Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback - we value our customer stories and will do everything in our power to make our process better for the customer. We are sorry that you had a negative experience during your claim. Our claims process was made to navigate around Tesla Service and to provide a credit card to Tesla at the moment when the vehicle service is complete (per Tesla). If you could email me at [email protected] so we could further resolve any issues you may have had, and to also make sure we do our part to cover your future repairs with convenience.

Not a good value
I do not recommend this extended warranty. If your car gets totaled, you do not get anything back if they paid for your repairs even if you had left over coverage during your total loss. Just save that money for repairs that you initially pay

Hi Paras,
Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback! We are so sorry to hear that your vehicle was totaled, I hope you and/or anyone else involved is safe. When a vehicle gets totaled, then there is a pro-rated refund that goes back to the policy holder. The pro-rated warranty takes into consideration the time and odometer that has elapsed through the coverage, minus any claims that have been paid as being an XCare member - if the amount surpasses the cost of the warranty paid, then there is no amount to be pro-rated back. In your circumstance, it looks like half of the term elapsed and almost $4k in claims was successfully paid by having the coverage. We are very happy that $4k in repairs were covered by having XCare and so sorry to hear your vehicle was totaled. If any of this sounds incorrect to you, please reach out to our team to discuss – [email protected]
