This company won't help you
I called this company to get tax help and was told they would cost too much for me to help me yet they don't even know how much I make. The condescending jerk who answered the phone kept calling me "dear" ugh 😑

I have been dealing with Yvonne since the beginning of our journey. She never calls in a timely manner and/or when she says she will. I provided all the W-2’s that she requested on June 8. When I emailed on July 6 to get an update on my case, I received an email from Jaime a CPA who said he was just waiting on our W-2’s. I forwarded him the SAME PDF file that I had provided Yvonne in June and also sent him a copy of the email that Yvonne had sent me acknowledging that she had received our W-2’s. There’s a serious breakdown in communication somewhere. But they’re certainly taking their payments out in a timely manner. So far, I am not impressed in the least with the (lack of) service I’m getting.

Mr. Hawkins, I am sorry you feel this way and I sympathize with your concern. That said, I do not think you understand the actual facts of your case. You came to us in February of 2019. You had "SFR" returns which means the IRS filed on your behalf for tax years 2006 and 2007. You are right. There is a a ten year statute of limitations. If you were not told of this, you should have and from my long experience we always do. I am not saying you are lying though. So if we did not, we are sorry. However, the 10 year statute of limitations does not go from the years the taxes were owed ie 2006 and 2007. The 10 year statute of limitations goes from when you file the return - in this case when the SFR return was filed for you by the IRS which was not until 2009 and 2010. The expiration of the statute of limitations for years 2006 and 2007 were May, 2019 and May 2020, respectively. Thus, when you came to us and you said you were being garnished by the IRS, you still had a few months left to be garnished on the 2006 debt and another YEAR and a few months for the 2007 debt. The statute of limitations had not run as you have apparently been led to believe. Please contact me at your earliest convenience so I can discuss and explain this to you further. We provided you with a 2 year payment plan to accommodate your financial situation. You are still paying for our services. I'm happy to have a discussion about those remaining payments because of your dissatisfaction. I can be reached at [email protected] or any of the telephone numbers you have from when you were an active client. I look forward to hearing from you. Thank you, Stephen A Weisberg, Principal Attorney, The W Tax Group

Don't waste your time or money with this firm. I paid W Tax Group to negotiate for a lessor amount or lessor penalty after an audit. But, what they did was merely negotiate a payment arrangement. Something I could have done myself. They convinced me they could do something I could not. They required payment upfront from me. And all they did was contact the IRS payment arrangements?

Dear Sir, Once again, I sincerely apologize that your experience with our firm did not meet your expectations. Our first priority is to make sure to provide our clients with an experience in which they feel well taken care of. Clearly this did not happen here. As you are aware, I reached out to you personally about this matter. There was clearly a miscommunication as you appear to be confused about the type of service you contracted with us to perform. We successfully provided you with all of the services you signed up for. Those services did not include negotiating your debt to a lesser amount or negotiating a lesser penalty after audit. If there is anything else we can do for you, please let us know. We are happy to help! Sincerely, Stephen a Weisberg Lead Attorney, The W Tax Group
