WYNDHAM WARNING: If you are disabled or sick, stay away from Wyndham. Even if you aren’t, you should run from these compassionless soul suckers. Their employees lied to sell me the timeshare I bought. Everything I was told from the start was a misrepresentation of facts. It’s not the real estate investment they promised. It is a financial nightmare. The easy reservations they promised is a joke. I have only been able to vacation once in over 3 years. RCI was supposed to be useful for reservations also, but even with that, I cannot find anything available anywhere! They even lied about point values. I was told that I could stay in a resort during the off season for about 7,500 points. Well, it turned out to be 30,000 points per night! HUGE difference! To make matters worse, I have been diagnosed with a rare form of incurable cancer and can no longer travel. Even with this knowledge, Wyndham will not let me out of the contract. I won’t even live long enough to pay off the loan, and they don’t care! Jay Smith & Delinda Johnson-Smith

The corporation has amazing resorts. Good luck getting into any of them. I’m not sure who is able to book them but it’s sure not me. There is no phone number that anyone answers. I spent two hours on hold- waiting for a live person and then got disconnected. There is no live chat to get any support. There is no actual way to get help with anything. They have no problem deducting my yearly dues however. Beyond frustrated

I am filing this complaint to warn people about Worldmark timeshares. This company has really gone downhill and now it is nothing more than a boiler room full of aggressive sales people who lie and mislead senior citizens like us to try and trick us into upgrading. We owned a timeshare with them for several years and were happy with the situation until 2017 when we received an unsolicited phone call with a pitch to upgrade our contract with promises of dream vacations to destinations all over the world. They told us this was a one day deal and pressured us and next thing we knew they had drafted a down payment of $7K and we financed $39,224 and began making payments of nearly $1000 a month. We wanted to take one of those amazing vacations they promised and tried to schedule vacation to Australia in 2019, but we did not have enough points even after the upgrade. We went anyway and after a 15 hour global flight back to U.S. we received a call within minutes after we walked in the door, it was Worldmark pushing us to once again "upgrade." I was mentally and physically exhausted from travelling but the agent kept up with the pressure and the promises of amazing vacations and told us it was a one day only deal and I bowed to the pressure and signed. The next day I looked at the written agreement and realized that we had been victims of a bait and switch. The points, the payments, the terms, none of the information on the contract matched what we had been told over the phone by the agent. We called to try and cancel and were told we need to take our time and not make quick decisions, but we found the rescission clause in the small print and got out. After that happened We could not use the unit or the points that we were paying over $1000 a month for because of Covid travel restrictions. Worldmark did not offer any concessions, instead they tried to coach us on how to game the system--telling us to book a vacation, then cancelling, then booking a new one, then cancelling again-----not only is this unethical and sketchy, I am quite sure that it is illegal. This is what the Worldmark customer service department was advising, so that they could keep collecting fees and keep us on the hook, we want nothing to do with them and they need to cancel our points contract and maintenance fee contract.

Run and run away fast from Worldmark. I have been an owner for over 20 years and regret it. Will probably just turn my shares in after this latest debacle. Zero customer service and they keep nickel and diming the owners to death. On my recent stay (this week) not only does the front desk staff not show up to work on time but they also charge the owners for internet use. Seems like an FU to the owners when you spend tens of thousands of dollars to buy in and then pay monthly maintenance fee and then they want to charge the owners to use the internet in their facility. Again run and run fast from this place

They do not answer the phone = zero customer service. For one problem, my wife waited 2 hours to talk to someone who could not solve the problem. I am 1:15 minutes into a hold now. Yesterday, the hold was two hours - and I never talked to anyone. Added to that are high pressure sales tactics nearly every time you check into a unit. I could write a book about the experiences, from rude people at the desk to sales staff pounding on my door because I had the nerve to unplug the room phone.

-Expensive points -Expensive monthly maintenance fees -Lack of inventory -No one answers the phone. You could literally die on hold. -They call you all the time to try to get you to buy more points.

Everything you read about this company is probably true. They are as worse as it gets. I challenged them with the facts that the hide the truth about their business model by not affording me the most important facts I needed to know to help me make an informed decision about the purchase and the numerous lies they told me about the purchase being an investment property, and that I could also make money by allowing others use it. I hired a consortium group (law group) who specializes in this kind of case after they refused to cancel the purchase and keep whatever they have already stolen from me. As a retaliation, as a result they forwarded my account to the credit bureau claiming I was late which is not correct. I could not be late on their account because I have a dedicated credit card which they opened for me (Priceline whyndham visa card) through which this purchased is financed every month. The card is therefore on auto pilot for Whyndham monthly dues (maintenance fees) and mortgage charges but in October last, they submitted one payment only and intentionally left the other. I was not immediately aware of this until they sent me a notice of overdue payment. While I was attempting to sort it out from the Whyndham visa card, they submitted it as a late payment to the credit bureau. Same scenario played out again in December 2021. I have asked them to remove it because as soon as I became aware of it, I cleared it the same day, but they still will not remove it making me believe, It was all an attempt to dent my credit as a retaliation. They know, I have an auto pay, they have the information in their file, the dispute should actually being between them and the Whyndham visa card but they chose to dent my credit. On the other hand, the credit card maintains that I did not cancel auto payment and could not explain why the payment did not go through. This company employs unethical tactics, coupled with their pressure cooker lies and methods to get you to buy into their products. Through out our session, I requested for the receipts and disclosures, the manager told me that all of that information is already included in the 7 or 9 inch ipad they gave. Few weeks later, while going thru the documentation, I found out that I had only seven day window to cancel my transaction-an important information, they buried deep in the pile of data/information. Avoid this company and their products whatever it is or you will regret the day you walked into their hotel or resort. My maintenance has since increased by at as much as $8 per month in just two years. This is an information they failed to disclose. Whyndham will submit payment just for the maintenance fees and not the mortgage without my knowledge. On anther time, they will submit payment for the mortgage and not the maintenance. By the time I am made aware of this, they have already reported it to the credit bureau as a late payment. All these tactics started after I hired a law firm to expose their unethical business practice. Iam waiting for my day in court with this company. Iam so disusted with their practices, that I have never used their so called services once I tried and they told me, they do not have any availability.
