Hi Omar, thanks for taking the time to explain, and sorry the manual wasn’t what you expected. The 2008 manual comes from Peugeot’s own dealer documentation, so it covers several engines and gearboxes in one book rather than a single version. It’s organised with clickable bookmarks for each system. Engine > “General engine information” (page 2291) shows how to read your engine code from the identification plate, “Engine oil capacities” (page 2287) gives the oil quantities for each engine family, and the Gearbox section covers the MA, MCM, MCP and BE units with their checking values and refill procedures. You’re right that the pages are images rather than text, which makes searching harder. We’re working on a text-searchable version. Hi, thank you for sticking with it, and sorry it has taken so long. You’re right that our instructions should make the Linux route clearer. The manual is the full dealer software rather than a PDF. It’s a Windows program, so we supply it inside a ready-made virtual machine. That’s what lets it run on Linux and Mac as well as Windows. On Linux Mint you don’t need the Windows extractor or Python. Install 7-Zip with “sudo apt install p7zip-full”, then run “7z x” followed by the file name in the download folder. That unpacks the .exe on Linux. Then install VirtualBox from the Software Manager and open the extracted virtual machine. If you’d rather not do it alone, email [email protected] with your order number.
