Hi Lewis. Elementor Pro was a part of an active campaign that was targeting vulnerable sites. Sites had already been hacked and polluted with backdoors and malicious redirects. We not only contacted Elementor to let them know that this was happening, but we also provided details on how to protect yourself if you did not want to opt for Wordfence Premium. Fully 80% of our plugin is freely available to the community, including services such as Wordfence Login Security and Wordfence Central. Development of these services requires resources and highly skilled security professionals. Firewall rules are released to the community after 30 days. This is our business model. We are not a non-profit. Wordfence Premium is how we feed our families and continue to perform the services that we do. This is much like Elementor Pro is a large part of Elementor's business model. Additionally, our threat intelligence team is consistently performing research to find vulnerabilities and help developers patch them before malicious actors can exploit them, and our blog is full of cases where we have made WordPress safer. To our premium customers who help fund this important part of the open source ecosphere, we thank you.
