Wood Prairie seeds are the bomb! They always product my best plants that carry me through the summer, fall and even winter in my growing dome! How many stars -- all in the firmament!

Patricia, I know several farmers who are envious that we have all the fun growing potatoes! Potatoes are a wonderful crop to grow and thanks some much your patronage and good words.

Prices are higher than others but if you want to talk to a real person who knows potatoes, this is the place. They are the only ones I've found who will ship when you need them. Everyone else doesn't start shipping till April. I need mine end of February or they fry in the heat. Well worth the extra cost to have home grown potatoes!

Unlike most of our competition we do grow the organic Certified Seed potatoes we sell. Among other benefits to you, that allows us to ship out of our underground storage 10 months a year - from September until the 4th of July - whenever customers like you need them. Thanks for your business!

Excellent! I've been a customer for more than 10 years . I grew their potatoes once just for fun, and have been ordering from them every years since. They stand behind both their potatoes and products, and I have always been very satisfied with their quality and their responsiveness to any questions I asked.

We listened to an interview on Farmer to Farmer and were intrigued by the potato passion. I love the descriptions on the website and found a few varieties to share with others. It's been our best potato harvest year yet and we're excited to taste them all.

Thank you, Molly. My father's interview was on Chris Blanchard's Farmer-to-Farmer Podcast (http://www.farmertofarmerpodcast.com/episodes/gerritsen) and it's full of tips on growing potatoes. Caleb

My potato sets came at the exact right time and in good condition. All the instructions for planting them was accurate and helpful Unfortunately I had an attack of voles that decimated my crop!! sigh But that does not in any way reflect on Wood Prairie Family Farm!
Response from Wood Prairie Family FarmSep 4, 2017
Sorry the voles caused you trouble, Leni. One of our customers invented his "War Canoe" solution which solved your exact problem. He buried a large section of 1/4" galvanized hardware cloth - shaped like a canoe, then planted his potatoes in the soil inside the "War Canoe." Worked perfectly!
