I have been with this bank for a good while now, and I have not had no major problems with my account. But when it comes to moving money around, well only within my accounts, and as long as they have been in business you would think they would have the tools to do so. they are using some sort of PP something, so why not use other tools out there.

I visited a location in Montgomery back in November and was so pleased by the superb customer service shown to me by Kayla, a manager (Eastern blvd location). I do not bank here but stopped in while shopping. Thank you for the great experience!

I am not disclosing location. But I've banked with woodforest for a very long time And I always have good experiences. But today, I walked up to one person ahead of me while 2 workers waited behind a door. Another lady then walked up and waited behind the 2 of us. The ladies came out from behind the door and the first lady helped the first customer in line. The manager then helped the 3rd lady in line, who was behind me. I don't care who you are this is a business and good customer service matters. If anything it's called plain decency. Please do better. She may be a regular but so am I. I have been banking with woodforest for over a decade. Is it not first come, first serve anymore?

This Bank treats their customers like garbage. Besides the staff being super ghetto in the Rochester location on chili Ave.. Once my debit card quit working and they tried to make me pay $15 for a new one. I kept refusing and telling them it's not my problem. It's their problem and my card magically began working right there at the checkout! Fast forward, I lost my debit card. I live nowhere near a branch anymore. The third world rep kept telling me to come into the bank. Unable to comprehend that. I live 6 hours. Finally agreed to send me one in the mail and told me it would take 2 weeks. It never showed up. That was about 6 months ago. I just never bothered getting another card because I'm tired of wasting my time. They don't use zelle. They took 6 days to transfer funds from my bank account to my PayPal account They force you to use their own in-house system for sending cash which takes 1 to 3 days to clear. Just now they canceled a payment which I have made to the same person repeatedly from the same account with the same account details. Locked me out of my account and told me to call a number where they're closed. They're not open on the weekends so I hope you don't need anything, ever and you just won't access your money. Then the third world reps will be clueless and uninterested and what you can expect is the worst possible result. If you get your head around the fact that the customer service is absolutely awful like the worst. Actually! You can deal with the phone call. Be prepared to have your time wasted and get transferred around for simple answers. It's like talking to bad human chatbots. I hardly ever use this account anymore because of how terrible the hank treats its customers. They should just keep it real and have a slogan that says at Woodforest Bank, we hate our customers and it shows! Come let us lock up your funds and make them unavailable for days to weeks while we lend it out to other people with bad credit and maybe when you need it next week we'll have it. Or maybe not. UPDATE: Woodforest customer service has improved greatly. The last few encounters I have had with customer service reps, who by the way are American, have been polite and professional. They even made it a point to call me by my last name which is much appreciated. I'm upping Woodforest to three stars because they greatly improved their customer service

I'm changing my review thanks to the amazing branch manager who assisted me in resolving my issues. She went above and beyond and did it all with a smile on her face. Thank you so much, Sydney. The process wasn't pleasant or necessary but it has been resolved and that goes a long way. I had my first direct deposit held for address verification on December 28th. The branch manager informed me that my account was closed on December 22nd, however, my lease agreement was received when the account was opened and my deposit was accepted on December 27th. I was initially told that it was only a hold but my branch manager could override and distribute my funds so that my family could eat and pay rent. After several days of back-and-forth and waiting for the branch manager, I went to a sister location where the manager was very helpful, but couldn't help me since it had to be done at the branch where the account was initiated. Unfortunately, the branch manager was on vacation all week, leaving me in a difficult situation. What a way to start my New Year!

My wife and i have had our accounts for many years now. The one thing I don't care for Is that they shut down our local branch, forcing us to burn excessive amounts of gas to go to a dangerous neighborhood that they call a local branch. It is in no way local guys. Other than that they are great.
